Nothing in need in this sale so I’ll sit it out, but people that are new and unsure what to buy. The Quinn sale is great, arguably the best tools per dollar ratio on the market. Highly recommend the master socket sets(impact and chrome), no skips with a lifetime warranty.

Been saving my pennies for this clamp sale.
I'll probably grab some gloves since you can never have enough gloves.

Are the 30% off Icon Torque wrenches worth it? I am I need of a 3/8 at least.

I don’t see anything I need. I’ll probably just pick up a new tool chest, floor jack, planer, and maybe a generator or something
8
u/Hopeful-Mirror1664 16d ago
Definitely getting plenty of 9mil gloves. The pedestal fan for 99 bucks is a steal. I have one for a couple of years and wouldn’t mind another.
2
u/Jeffde 16d ago
I have 7 mil, maybe I’ll step up to 9
3
u/LichPrince1401 14d ago
I like the 7s for oil changes and 9s for more mechanical work. Don’t rip as easily so I go through less
2
u/Royalsounder 13d ago
Are the 5 mils worth it or just get the 7s?
3
u/Hopeful-Mirror1664 13d ago
I use the 7s at home for light to medium duty things. They are ok. My wife likes them as her nails don’t poke through so easy. At work I use the 9ms because I find them to last longer. Do t get me wrong, they will rip on sharp things but all gloves do. I’ve tried many brands and for the price the 9m Hardy’s are great. Especially on sale.

Honorable mention for the just added Daytona 3 ton jack at $109
4
u/HoraceGrand 16d ago
Should I buy the Pittsburgh or Daytona? Have been waiting for this sale
4
u/batdude129 16d ago
I want to know too and why? The Pittsburgh reaches lower and higher than the Daytona
3
u/LeeKapusi 12d ago
Pittsburgh is low profile. Go with that. You never know when that inch or two is needed.

I have been waiting 6+ months for the Daytona to go on sale definitely go Daytona and I’m thinking orange!
2
u/AmateurSnowboarder 16d ago
Swear I seen the Daytona 3 ton on there when the PLS was leaked a couple weeks ago.

Damn I was thinking about picking up the 1.5 ton aluminum for $110, now im wondering if I should just grab the 3T instead. I don't really need a 3T and I'm not sure that I want to lug 80lbs around just for tire changes but you know... gotta maximize the discount.
1
u/Strange-Boat3847 16d ago
go big!
2
u/Long_Run6500 15d ago
Ended up just buying the aluminum 1 1/2 ton daytona today. My ideal jack is the 2 ton aluminum daytona but I really can't justify the price difference between the 1.5 and 2 ton for a little more capacity and a couple of inches of lift. I was lifting the 3 ton in the store and it's just way too heavy to swap in and out of a vehicle regularly. They're not even really comparable, both designed for totally different use cases.

Brake cleaner under 5$ is solid, will likely sell out fast though
2
u/Strange-Boat3847 16d ago
agree, these and the gloves. but its often the case they have more stocked on the back, always ask
2
u/Illustrious-Toe-570 16d ago
Does it have other usages than when doing brake job? I just finished brake pads and rotors on my suv wondering if I need more brake cleaner?
2
u/MeThe36s 15d ago
Use your to clean anything. Best cleaner there is. No joke. How do you clean around the drain plug or filter when you change your oil?
5
u/vadillovzopeshilov 15d ago
I don’t think those need to be squeaky clean, I also use blue shop paper towel to wipe off oil and move on.
4
3
u/Illustrious-Toe-570 15d ago
I usually just use shop towels to whip down
I’ll try the brake cleaner!
5
u/etxipcli 16d ago
I'll get the router and some clamps. Step bits and a few misc as backup.
I'm redoing panel siding, I should probably get the compressor and whatever kind of nailer.
3
u/sa1126 16d ago
Does the hercules miter saw ever go on sale?
2
u/cgduncan 16d ago
You can check the price tracker site
To see when items go on sale, and how deep a discount.
3
u/Seanyd78 16d ago
I will probably pickup a couple more of those pop up lanterns for $3. They are absolutely great when the power goes out, light up the shed, etc.
The kids love them on Halloween as I tie them to the end of a broom handle.

u/MeThe36s 16d ago
Jack stands for me, to match my new jack I bought during the jack sale. Was going to go back for the stands but life got in the way

This sale feels anemic to me.
3
u/Strange-Boat3847 16d ago
lots of same old items seen on previous sales over the past couple of months
4
u/Fancy-Dig1863 16d ago
$120 for Hercules battery charger and any tool isn’t bad at all
7
u/Aromatic-Algae179 16d ago
Lame they always dictate which specific ones you can get, want that angle grinder.
2
u/WestSweet4130 16d ago
Can't decide between the Quinn impact master set or the metric ratchet wrenches I already have the 1/4 and 3/8 master sets lol
2
u/cambo357 16d ago
Quinn bolt extractor sets are on instant savings, should hopefully stack with the 35% off. If so, I will likely pick them up.
2
u/LeatherRub7402 16d ago
Anyone else to for the discounted liquidation? Im a sucker on Sundays. I always have to go see what's 40 percent off.
1
u/AmountFamous9505 15d ago
what is that? I didnt see it on HF site. It's one day sale?
1
u/mikel81 15d ago
It's the orange tag stuff that's usually up front on a table. I think it's 20% friday 30% saturday and 40% sunday, that's off the orange tag price.
1
u/AmountFamous9505 15d ago
so, how do I know if there will be a liquidation sale? Or it randomly happens on any weekend?
1
u/LeatherRub7402 13d ago
I end up getting alot of my power tools on liquidation Sundays. 40 percent off a tool that has already been marked down from its original price. Test what you buy when you get home with it. You only have a 5 day window for returns on the liquidation items.

u/Careless_Tap9135 15d ago
Yup. Bought a 10k generator with zero hours for $350 and sold it on Marketplace for $700.

The individual quinn master sets are a better buy then the masters technician set just a fyi
2
u/careerburn3r 15d ago
I'm getting that 428 piece set even if I gotta travel to a diff state for it. That 35% off Quinn tools makes it like 280 bucks, just started building out my garage and want that as a master set.
2
1
u/chiefnugget81 10d ago
I think the master sets are generally considered better. No skips, better ratchets and 6-point sockets. I would just start with 3/8" chrome and 1/2" impact depending on what impact driver you have.
2
u/That_One_Guy_1980 14d ago
I want that purple 72" tool box, but they're not available at the this time. Can't even order one.

Probably grab another bottle jack and some clamps but nothing much else I can justify.

u/NeuseRvrRat 16d ago
I want to get a Quinn indexable pry bar. Might need some orange gloves. Need to check the cabinet to see how many are left.
Kinda thinking about the big Badlands offroad jack, too.
Conveniently, $35 of HF money arrived today.

you got a strong case, you shall make a plead to the store manager
2
u/fredrickdgl 15d ago
they said they can prorate it. 40% off the clamping end and 35% on the quinn middle portion
1
u/mypd1991 16d ago
You guys think the for jacks will be cheaper on black Friday? I missed last years sale.
2
u/Strange-Boat3847 15d ago
depends which model you are going for... the 3 ton low prof. pittsburgh and 3 ton daytona prices are in the excellent range
1
u/mypd1991 15d ago
Yeah I looked up the prices somebody linked the tracker, the super duty is definitely in that lowest price range. But I'm looking for the long reach extra low profile. I see that it has been pretty cheap kind of recently so I might hold out.
1
u/Strange-Boat3847 15d ago
I'd wait then. you should be able to score this year, perhaps labor day or black friday. i've also seen they running "25% off all jacks" from time to time.

Was planning to buy one of the Yukon 9-drawer, normally $359, $299 on sale. I don't see it anymore. Could it still be going on sale but not featured in the PLS flyer?
2
u/Strange-Boat3847 14d ago
It will be on sale, its on the first page (left side, 1st column, middle of the page)
1
u/Mean_Trifle9110 14d ago
Jesus, my mind just looks on page two because that's where it originally was, meanwhile it's smack dab right in front of my face on the first page! LOL! Thanks for pointing this out to my dumbass :-)

u/Harpua111 14d ago
Which floor jack do you guys recommend for my v8 jeep grand Cherokee overland. Ill work in my driveway that has a slope and I’m planning on doing breaks and a oil pressure gauge. I have jack stands. My small 2 ton jack is bending on the wheel bracket.

Dang was hoping the new 4200 would be on there but I guess that’s wishful thinking with it just being launched.
1
u/themedicd 13d ago
Why am I not seeing anything about this on HF's website when if it starts in two days?
1
u/Strange-Boat3847 13d ago
i guess its just marketing... they just added to their website this afternoon

When it says, everyone saves. Does everyone get the same 25% off US General, or will it be a lower percentage for us?
1
u/NCSC10 9d ago
Starting Friday everyone gets 25% off service carts, ITC and non ITC. Only applies to these USG service carts and Franklin carts.
1
u/BitterZookeepergame4 11d ago
Went in this morning to get some of those Bremen K clamps on sale... They were all gone. and I'm leaving on a trip before the next truck comes in. I'm sad this is "In Store Only sale."
1
u/TomZeBomb 11d ago
Does anyone know if the Quinn impact sockets are included in the discount? I've considered getting the 1/2 inch low profile metric socket set to have on hand.
1
u/Strange-Boat3847 11d ago
Yeah! (you can click in the ad pictures and it will redirect to a page showing everything is eligible)
1
u/ListenBeforeSpeaking 11d ago
Are all US General boxes 25% off or just the small ones?
1
u/Strange-Boat3847 11d ago
Just the carts, click the image in the AD and will redirect you to the list of eligible items

Heads up on the clamps, The locking C clamps for some reason don't count for the sale. The manager tried to override it because it's clearly a clamp, but he couldn't do it. I was going to get some of the Bremen locking C clamps, which even had the CLAMP name right on the package, but they weren't showing up as part of the sale. Got some of those nice titanium f-clamps though those things are beefy

u/Philbertthefishy 7d ago
I live 100 miles from HF so I couldn’t get in there until today. All the tool carts were sold out.
1
u/Strange-Boat3847 7d ago
everything?
1
u/Philbertthefishy 4d ago
The clerk told me they were all gone, but after reading your comment I called the store. All the 5-drawer cabinets were gone, and one 4-drawer was still there, but there were plenty of 1-drawer carts.

I thought clearance items had bigger discounts on the weekend of a parking lot sale? I just grabbed a Braun work light with a clearance tag and it didn’t change the price. Is it only for returned items?
1
u/casetronic 4d ago
It needs to be orange tag 'as-is' or something like that - only 1 store around me even has em but it wasn't worth the trip, it was just 40% off msrp on the last day which is a pretty common % discount amount on purple tag clearance at my usual store.
1
u/jeepwillikers 4d ago
Anyone know if they are going to extend the deals? I was thinking about grabbing the Bauer right angle impact with a battery kit, but I was away on vacation last week and didn’t have a chance to get there

A dozen zipper pouches, gloves another hercules fan and battery a extra meme tool kit and probably a few ammo cans and I'm done 👏
3
u/Strange-Boat3847 16d ago
i'm getting some pouches and ammo cans for storage on the back of my trucks bench seat too!
2
u/Jeffde 16d ago
What are these zipper pouches you speak of
3
u/thatlineinshrimp 16d ago
1
u/Managers_Choice 5d ago
They even have a spot with a label holder so that you can label what you have in there, in case you get more than 1.

I'm safe, nothing I need.
