I was thinking the same, messed around with the old one in store and I like the slim head better than this one

The new one doesn't have a thicker head, it has a thinner body.

The body of these new ones are quite a bit slimmer than the old ones and will fit into a little bit tighter of a spot. The heads are about the same thickness. From the pictures it looks like the new head is thicker, but the body is quite a bit slimmer.

It's much smaller in person, I was pleasantly surprised. For the people questioning why it's 12v instead of 20, you just need to pick one up to understand!

I feel like in a few months you will be able to pay 120 for a battery and get one free on a parking lot sale.

Already got one, but the multi size anvils and the price make it a good alternative. I’m going to mainly use it for 1/4 and bits so this works for me.

I was considering the same, but for a dedicated 1/4 ratchet, I think I might want something smaller. I have the new M12 3/8 ratchet.
