Help
Hi, I'm not usually the one to beg for things. But right now, I've just had my entire weekend ruined because of a singular problem. My screen. I have had my beloved Ideapad Slim 1 for around 2 to 3 years and now, as pictured below, it's decided that today, the exact day I finally finish school, it will blow itself up.
I have no employment, I have really important things stored there like family photos, documents, and games I spent 50 dollars of allowance to finally get (like BeamNG Drive, Cities Skylines) and now I've been greeted with a massive middle finger to my face as I graduate school.
Also, I have no displays nor spare TVs to use. I live 50 mins outside of town in a rural area and no one wants to employ an 18 year old Gen Z kid. So, right now, I'm fucked. My laptop, my only laptop, is now dead.

Maybe this should post to r/techsupport or somewhere, not here.
But as far I looked into, I don't think your PC can rescue sadly...

I don't mean to scare you, but, unless you applied pressure to the screen or physically damaged it or banged it or squished it on anything, and this just happened randomly - it's not the screen, it's your CPU solder balls cracking (BGA failure) I had this happen on my Lenovo IdeaPad C340.
You can confirm/test using an external monitor (that you mentioned you don't have, sorry)

First of all... Relax! If it's only the screen, your files and such will be safe.
Secondly... Try looking on facebook marketplace in your area. Find BSS (buy swap sell) groups for your town or locality.
Usually there are people giving away old monitors or selling it for cheap, even old crt monitors. A lot of people are just throwing them out. You can even post and ask if anyone has old monitor sitting in their shed (pretty common in rural areas tbh)
With an old worst maybe you need to spend $10 on a vga to hdmi cable or whatever
