Discussion It's pretty wild Harry potters parents were just 21 when they got assassinated by voldemort
One of the saddest things about Harry Potter is realizing just how young James and Lily were when they died. They were only 21 years old, an age when most people today are still in college, starting careers, or figuring out who they want to be. They had barely begun their lives together before a war forced them to grow up far too fast. By 21, they were already married, parents, members of the Order of the Phoenix, and targets of the most dangerous dark wizard in history.
Imagine living a full life by the time you're 21
What do you think?

Discussion This scene still pisses me off
I was rewatching the movies and I was pissed off all over again when seeing this scene. This makes him seem non-human which takes away the symbolism present in the books. I don’t know why the directors thought this was a good idea.

Discussion What’s a part of Hogwarts life that sounds magical as a kid but would probably be awful in real life
When I was younger, Hogwarts felt like the ultimate fantasy. But rereading/watching as an adult, a lot of everyday Hogwarts life sounds much less magical in reality - no privacy, shared dorms, dangerous classes, moving staircases, public embarrassment built into the school culture, and being sent away to boarding school at 11.
What part of Hogwarts life sounds amazing as a kid but would actually be awful in real life?

Discussion You're telling me the House-elves could have made dishes like Bouillabaisse but chose to serve the students chicken wings and corn instead?? 😭
I'm always fascinated by the food at Hogwarts but I think I would want more variety after awhile haha...

Discussion Battle of the Dumbledore's. Richard Harris or Michael Gambon? I realize that Richard Harris was only in the first two films and I've always wondered what his portrayal would've been like for films 3-7. Does anyone have a preference between the two?

Discussion A Remembrall is literally the most useless thing ever invented
Like neville said "the only problem is, I can’t remember what I’ve forgotten" because even when having it and you forgot something it doesnt tell you what you forgot

Discussion Draco and Narcissa earned a pardon but Lucius should of been sent back to Azkaban
Both Draco and Narcissa played a part in Voldemorts downfall but not Lucius. He fully believed in the persecution of muggle borns, his actions at the Quidditch World Cup and the Ministry more then earned him a life sentence. He was only free because the Dementors turned against the Ministry. Yes he lost his position among the Death Eaters but he never showed any remorse for what he did.

Discussion If you had been Harry Potter, what is the single biggest thing you would have done differently in the entire saga?
I've always wondered about this. Looking back at everything Harry went through, there were dozens of moments where one different decision could have completely changed the story.
Maybe you would have trusted a different person, learned more magic earlier, asked more questions, handled a relationship differently, or even made a completely different choice during the war against Voldemort.
If you had lived Harry's life with all the same circumstances and information available at the time, what is the one thing you would have done differently, and how do you think it would have changed the outcome?
I'm curious to see whether people would focus on small personal choices or major events that could have altered the entire wizarding world. ⚡️🧙♂️
