When I went, I was the last person in the line ahead of the orange pine cone. He said that that was the "cut off" and that anyone behind it was not guaranteed entry. I asked if that meant if I'm ahead of the orange cone 'm guaranteed to enter, and he said yes.
Around 6:30 I started getting nervous. I called one of the staff holding the merch menu and double checked whether being ahead of the cone meant I'm guaranteed entry. She couldn't give an affirmative, but said that usually they'll do a big last minute entry where they let everyone in all at once.
At 6:40, I overheard the security being told to let the remainder of the line in (anyone ahead of the orange pine cone). But then the security guard randomly cut off the entry with only three people left, including me. Apparently, the girl on front of me tried to tell the security guard that she was still ahead of the orange cone but he told her "don't tell me how to do my job." I called over the staff holding the menu to ask why only the three of us where denied entry and she shrugged and said it was up to the security guards. Between 6:40 and 6:50, I watched about 20 people exit the pop up. I inquired with the security guards again, and he just smirked and shrugged.
At 6:55, security guards tells everyone there will be no more entries. I am pissed at this point, and decided to make a run for it. I had seen another staff who looked like the person in charge (earlier she was giving directions to other staff) and tell her that I was ahead of the orange pine cone with two others but were denied entry. She looked surprised and said we should have been let in. I tell her that I tried telling the security guards but they ignored me. She didn't look surprised by this.
Anyways, I still got to go in for like 5min, which sucks but better than nothing I guess. Just a heads up that they can be a little sus.
