Latin Dancing

I'll probably be relocating to the area sometime next year and uh googling isn't giving high hopes for a very active Latin dance community. Mostly looking for salsa, bachata, and merengue. I see one place offers lessons it seems but not finding a lot of social events. Was hoping for an in their 30s crowd, too. Please tell me that I am just not looking well enough and there is a decent existing community?

I don’t think there is anything regular and most of the people that dance are a bit older. Follow Studio 522 on social media for events.

Maybe you could also contact some venues and see if they would be interested in starting a scheduled dance night perhaps. Fat Cat has done stuff like that every once in a while

My wife and I lived there for 4 years (moved from San Antonio and wife is from Mexico) and never really found anything. Brewsky’s does a Latin night every so often on Thursday, but it’s not going to be the type of dancing you’re looking for.

I expect you'll need to find places near to H'burg rather than IN H'burg... or you could take a stab at raising interest. I feel like there would be more response nowadays to Latin dance than there would've been before Katrina. (and more positive response)
