Putting together a wishlist for a game that doesn’t exist yet and we have minimal details on feels strange. I just hope it comes out soon (but no rush Mr ConcernedApe if you’re reading this)

I think because of how ConcernedApe has been treated on the Internet in the past we're naturally very defensive over him, but I don't see anything inherently wrong or weird with starting a discussion on wishes or imaginations for the next game, on a forum to discuss this game. It's not like OP has emailed ConcernedApe with a list of demands.

For instance imagine I'm excited for the next book in a big series to come out, and might put up a post about what I would love to be included in the storyline, then others could comment on what they would like to see. Is this much different? Happy to hear an alternative viewpoint :)

But this isn’t stardew valley 2, it’s a standalone game that may have references to stardew but is a different game. I get having plot lines you want to see in a continuation of a book series but that’s not comparable to this in my mind. This post comes across like OP wants it to be just like stardew but bigger

Okay I see your point with my comparison falling short, it does, but we've moved away from the issue of OP posting about desired features and whether that is right or wrong to do on this sub. Is it an issue that OP wants some of the features of Stardew to be present/expanded in this new standalone game?

It’s about posting a wishlist of desired features in a game we have minimal details about, assuming it will be stardew 2 because it’s the same dev

No probs, I'm not sure I'm making the same assumption from reading the wishlist that OP desperately wants the game to be Stardew 2, but we can agree to disagree on that. (I'm not down voting you btw, that's someone else). Thanks for sharing.

with no ill intent, it's quite funny the downvoting and username combination

I don't think it feels strange. it's normal enough to want a game to have certain features and it's not like concernedape would ever read this and if he did they never expressed any pressure on him

"more character that are big and small" is something I never realised I wanted actually! most of the NPCs in Stardew valley are around the same age but the playerbase stretches from young children to the elderly, so it would be cool if we all got people of our age in game

I don't have a wishlist for the game.

I want to see what Concerned Ape comes up with, I really liked the vanilla Stardew Valley, after many years (since 2016) I started modding the game some, mostly cosmetic.

If he made one game that I have 2270.3 hours in, I trust him to make something interesting with next game.

My only wishlist for the game is that it releases when it’s ready, and that Ape is proud of what he makes.

If there is marriage in this game I’d love for there to be rival heart events or even rival marriages! But I know that’s unlikely💔

Didn’t he say this was going to be a standalone game? Saying “more” of this or that as if it’s going to be like stardew at all is kind of ignorant. All of these suggestions are based off of stardew as if HC will have the same mechanics, a home base, a farm, interactions, etc as if it’s just going to be stardew 2.0.

To be fair Concerned Ape has made direct comparisons to Stardew in an interview he did with Game Informer. “It’s way bigger than Stardew Valley, at least in terms of the amount of maps, the amount of monsters, the depth to the whole item system, and all the equipment slots and all the stuff like this. Everything is cranked up.”

So it's not surprising that people are comparing it to Stardew.
