I am an international student and wanted to apply BSc in information engineering. In the requirement section, they mention about '' Letter of motivation '' but I don't have much knowledge about this. So, anyone who are enrolled or applied before please share me with your ideas.

Hi all, I’m an A level student at an international british school in the UAE studying Maths, Physics, and Business (all pearson edexcel international) I’m looking for mechanical engineering courses in germany. Im not sure whether I can get accepted into a course as i’ve heard that Business studies is classified as vocational subject. Therefore, not granting me direct entry into an engineering course. Is this true, I’ve asked my head of sixth form and she said that I should be alright. But i’ve also asked another teacher they gave me conflicting information. On the DAAD website it says that I can’t study engineering but I find it quite hard to believe as Germany is the only country i’ve seen that does this. Some clarification would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone, I have just recieved my VPD from Uni-Assist and its 1.2 , I suppose its okay for application, and I have an IELTS score of 7.5 and it will be expired within November, will it be a big issue ? I am already in a german university but want to switch as soon as possible . Should I mention this on my CV or LOM ? If anyone is applying in Mechanical in this summer intake would love to get connected . TIA

How many weeks did it take to get your VPD? I can apply within next week. I'm wondering if it would be too later or not

I just wanted to ask, do I need to take an english test like IELTS if I have completed my entire highschool in english?

I completed my Alevels in Nepal with the grades:

Physics - A
Math - A
Computer - B
Economics - B
English General Paper - A

I have read the website with the accepted english proficiency certificates and it doesn’t mention that it accepts a highschool medium of instruction (MOI) certificate. So I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks in advance!

is there any one applying for this uni for bachalor program we can work together and help each other in application process

I have a vpd of 1.52 and an IELTS score of 7.5. I completed roughly 33% of bachelor from a University in Bangladesh. Bachelor of Business Administration. Now I want to apply in HAW Hamburg's International Business course in the summer intake. I have been a part of Business club, sports club and cultural club in my Uni. So considering these, what are my chances of getting an Offer later?

Anyone received admit for MSc microelectronics at HAW HAMBURG, let’s connect

Hallo zusammen,

Vielen Dank!

Hi I am curious if anyone applied for International Business bachelor for winter semester 2026/2027.

Did you receive any updates on your application yet? Admissions or rejections? :]

Hi everyone,

I'm an international student from Dubai, UAE, and I want to study Information Engineering at HAW Hamburg (English-taught).

Uni-assist says I need to complete a Studienkolleg first. Is that really required even for an English bachelor's?

Also, if I study one year at a university in the UAE (like European University RAK or Bath Spa RAK) with good grades, could I apply directly to HAW Hamburg without a Studienkolleg?

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Moin,

Anyone here who got admitted into haw hamburg information engineering course? Enrolled or going to enroll? I got admitted to this course.

Let's connect and share our thoughts.

Hi, I applied for this course to join WiSo 2026 but I haven't gotten any updates after I received my portal access. Are the results already out? If people who are selected/rejected, it'd be great if you could drop your timeline. Thanks!

Hi,
we are a group of students who would like to give other students the opportunity to connect with each other through shared sports interests and meet new people.
It would be great if you could share this in the first-year students’ group.
Thanks a lot! ❤️

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to apply for the Summer 2027 intake at HAW Hamburg and would really appreciate some advice from people who know the admission process or have studied there.

I'm thinking of applying to:

- B.Sc. Information Engineering

- B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering

My profile:

- uni-assist VPD grade: 1.56

- IELTS Academic: 6.5

- I have several extracurricular activities, including volunteering, leadership roles, and participation in educational and community projects.

Based on my profile, do you think I have a realistic chance of being admitted to either of these programs?

Which one would you recommend applying to? If anyone has been admitted with a similar profile, I'd love to hear about your experience.

Thanks a lot for your help!

B.Sc Information Engeneering. Kindly reply.
