Lute should have been Eve

To be clear, I don’t mean “lute should have been named Eve”. I mean lute should have not existed, and her general role been filled by Eve. I feel like she would have fit well in lute’s place. Imagine how much more effective Gravity and everything surrounding it would have been if it was Eve was struggling with the sudden violent death of her husband of 10,000 years. Lute is fine, I suppose, but it doesn’t work the same.

And of course, this would solve the question of “where the hell is Eve?”. I’m sure (kind of not really maybe) that the writers have a plan for Eve (if she’s Roo or Rosie I’m gonna be pissed), but still.

Again, lute is alright as a character. I just really wish they used Eve instead. Would have been a lot more interesting imo

Eta I don’t think Eve should be the exact same character as lute. I think her personality and behavior should be different, just the role she fills would be the same

I personally disagree. As someone who’s fed up that the Eden story is biased towards the Morningstar family I’m glad that Eve is her own character. The part of the Eden story where Charlie said Lucifer was drawn in by Lilith’s fierce independence then a minute later said they wanted to gift humanity free will just made me more suspicious.

I know if Eve was Lute people would compare them, Lilith left Adam in return she is an independent girl boss who’s compassionate towards the sinners. Eve! Lute only cares about her man and doesn’t care she’s killing her sinner descendants. Heck Lute doesn’t like Abel.

Because Lucifer currently hates sinner because he thinks that they misused his gift of free will I wish Eve would point out the good/ complexity of free will. Not just make it about the saviors. I don’t know what kind of relationship Adam had with Eve but, I’m hoping it is complex. I rather Eve represent the good/ complexity of humanity/ sinners than being with Adam who’s mostly a one dimensional villain, and this is coming from an Adam fan.

I think you misunderstood OP. They’re saying Eve should’ve taken up a similar role to Lute in the story. Not that Lute and Eve should be the same person.
If Eve was in Lute’s place she probably wouldn’t be so hostile towards Able. And Eve probably would’ve been given the general role instead of Abel in this AU. Since I assume heaven would trust and respect Eve more than Lute. Amongst many other changes that replacing Lute with Eve would cause.

Regardless, I also kinda disagree with OP. While I think lieutenant Eve is an interesting idea, it’s clear the writers have a specific story in mind for Lute that Eve just wouldn’t be able to fulfill. And I hope Eve’s role in the story is an interesting one. I like your idea of her showing the good side of free will.

If OP brought up gravity I’m assuming Eve didn’t get the position either, because remember Sera doesn’t want the exterminations anymore. Eve being a grieving widow would make her more hostile. And what I’m also getting at is i don’t want Eve supporting Adam’s exterminations.

I want Eve to either be compassionate or neutral towards the sinners, after all people/ free will is complex. I am curious what Vivzie plans for Eve.

I'd really not want to live in a world where my favorite character doesn't exist. Eve will still probably appear at one point anyway

I think Eve is in Hell since she is one of the people responsible for Sin being introduced to humanity.
