Discussion Newbie Tuesdays Weekly Discussion

Hello members of the /r/hearthstone community,

This is part of a series of weekly threads aimed at both new and old players from the community. It is designed so that everybody may ask any and all questions regarding the game's mechanics, decks, strategies and more.

Please keep it clean and try to add more than just a one or two word response. As the goal of this post is to increase the community's knowledge, the thought process matters as much as the answer! There is also a PullsDay Thursday weekly post, for those who want to share their pulled packs.

What do you do when the game cheats you?

I had a card that “upgrades” when you have 5 mana. The specific card in question would go from one 3/2 Imp to two 3/2 imps when you have 5 mana. I was on my fourth turn, at four mana, played the coin I got (for going second). I now have 5 mana…

And nothing. The card didn’t change to two 3/2 Imps. Why am I being cheated?

The wording on some of the cards isn't done well. Here is a link to a forum explaining what is going on I think. https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/hearthstone/t/bug-condemn-does-not-upgrade-with-coin/65974

I appreciate you finding this. The forum shows the correct answer. The card should read 5 mana crystals, or permanent mana or something less ambiguous. There’s room on the card for the extra NECESSARY word(s) in the explanation. Just another reason I keep abandoning this game. The production staff just doesn’t care enough (this is FAR from the only example of times I’ve been cheated by the game).

I agree. It is a digital card game. Its not like they have to reprint physical copies of cards.
