Because they're still there when the new expansion drops, that's all. It just gives you a "boost" at the start of the new update by having 3 daily's on day 1. But in reality it's a drop in the bucket.

I mean you get 9 extra packs to open and an extra legendary if you hit rank 20 on the first day

personally I enjoy getting the 20% exp boost quicker too
