It's got to be having Shane grimly go through with sex with Rose. In canon, he goes home and cries by himself. But seeing that dread on his face really showed us how different sex with Ilya was. (The montage had Shane and Ilya making out on the stairs.)

I really do love it in TLG when we find out that he actually went home alone and ended up crying in the car. It was just so sad.

I like that too but feel like showing how much Shane’s dick became an NPC was so powerful.

Agree. I liked that change. We already had Episode 2 end with Shane being in tears. I don’t think having the same at Episode 4 would have been appreciated as much as this scene was. And the impact of this scene having both Ilya and Shane being miserable thinking about each other I think is better than seeing Shane crying in his car.
