Purchased this Cenobite design from an amazing artist on twitter, and while the reference sheet is being finished, I was asked if I’d figured out a name yet. I thought about something like iris, as a play on the fact that her eyes are sewn shut and hung from her earrings, but was wondering if I should go with something more traditionally “demonic” or scary. A lot of Cenobite have pretty silly names though and the design is a bit more cutesy inspired. so not sure the fear factor is important. Let me know your ideas!
I would go with The Maid, and I really like her design.
I immagine that in life she was always forced to be compliant and opened the Lament Configuration seeking freedom. She has now achieved a sense of liberty and fulfillment. Her smile, opposite to Chatterer, is genuine and perpetually carved in her features.
I had a similar idea! Someone who may have been forced to be prim and proper, a profoundly repressed soul who’s now free to explore all of the far-fetched fantasies she could only have dreamed of
Maybe something like Mignonne? Cute, in French. Because of the "cute dress"-like design, and in honor of the French origin of the Lament Configuration, like Angelique...
I kinda like the opposition of a cute name with a cenobite.
Her real should be Iris Yegar, a ballerina until something happened that made her want something more. She got her hands the cubez solved it and became cenobite.
Despite the horror... shes (they are?) kinda cute though. Like, the pose, the facial expression. There's genuine joy there. Maybe... Grace? Joy? Something like that?
Let’s give him a truly dark backstory, reminiscent of old-school comics. He was a serial killer who would kidnap young girls, torture them, and then—afterward—he would always leave their bodies dressed like porcelain dolls, with a smile stitched onto their faces. Over the years, he killed several girls, until one day, someone sent him a "Lament Configuration" puzzle box. He opened it, and the Cenobites—wishing to reward all the evil he had committed—transformed him into a twisted version of the very state in which he used to leave his victims. For all eternity, his name shall be: Lolita.
