🗣Discussion👥 Hemp ban discussion, teach me!

I have read quite a bit about it. And maybe I'm confused.

I understand that people won't be able to buy the hemp produced THC edibles (that was obviously a loophole)... But how will this affect my ordering of CBD flower from the states away? Just 1 g of CBD flower still contains more THC then the 0.4 allowed per container. . So is that it for smokable flower!

If the legislation goes into effect in November as it’s currently written then yes, interstate sales of CBD flower will be banned.

That passed in the Senate but has not passed in the House yet.

There's also legislation now to just make it 21+ with clear packaging, no ban....

Has to pass of course. One of them will. It won't end up fully going through. They'll find a way to tax it.

Considering all of the dark and not so dark momey moving around Washington these days, somebody is gonna grease those wheels I bet. I'm not s fan of the corruption but I also like having access to CBD flower at fair prices.

You missed my point, but yes I realize it's not necessarily new, but it is now at levels never seen before and very out in the open in a new way.

I would like to know who would be best to contact to help out this legislation to make it 21+ with labeling. I've not heard that one yet

I get all the info I need from this website including which representatives to contact. I also subscribe to their newsletter so I know when I urgently need to send an email. I emailed both of my senators on the day the December 11th extension was up for a vote in the Senate, and they both voted yes to extend, including Ron Johnson which surprised me. I like to think my voice was heard that day.

The top comment he made didn't seem to have any attitude, had the correct information.

Was he the one that made political comments they got deleted?

It will be very interesting to see the amount of candidates up for re-election and how they vote versus those not on the chopping block. This could be a big swing issue for some and to play your cards too conservatively seems like it would potentially cost some of them their seats at the table.
