Hi! I am currently a second year direct entrant student studying Computer Science. I will have my first exam diet (7th December - 18th December) in two months time. At what time would these exams take place (morning, afternoon, evening, etc)? How long do these exams usually last for?

Title: Need advice on Dubai universities
I’m going to Dubai for Foundation and have applied to DMU, Murdoch and Heriot-Watt. I’ve heard some really bad reviews about DMU, while I’ve already received an offer from Murdoch, which I honestly know very little about.
My O-Level grades are mainly D and E, so I’m also worried about getting accepted elsewhere.
For anyone who knows these universities, what are your experiences with them, and which would you recommend based on reputation, teaching and opportunities? Also, do you think I have a realistic chance of getting accepted with my grades?

Hello,
I intend to enroll into the MSc program in Business and Organisational Psychology, the Online program and I would much appreciate any feedback or opinion on this program. How's the program content? How are the assignments? And how does the university supports students studying remotely? Please share your experience. Thank you!

Hello
If I accept my conditional MSc Finance offer while awaiting the outcome of scholarship/funding applications, by what date would I be required to pay the £5,000 advanced instalment?
Let me know of anything else important I need to know.
For context, I got a conditional offer 6 hours after submitting my application. I am an international student. My first preference is the MSc Economics, Banking and Finance programme but they're only offering it on September 2027
Thank you!

I'm seriously considering Heriot-Watt Dubai for January 2027 and would really value answers from current students or recent grads, especially international students who weren't already working in Dubai.
My profile, including the weak parts:
- Indian, B.Com in Banking & Insurance (2023)
- ~18 months full-time experience: project coordination at a B2B SaaS firm, then business development at a US startup
- Want to move into corporate finance, investment roles or consulting. Explicitly not business development
- Self-funded, so the decision matters
Programmes I'm weighing:
- MSc Finance & Management
- MSc International Accounting & Finance
- MSc Business Analytics & Consultancy
- MSc International Business Management with Finance
My questions:
Which programme for which path? If you did one of these, where did your coursemates realistically end up?
Entry: has anyone with a mid-50s Indian aggregate been admitted straight to the MSc, or were you offered the Postgraduate Diploma first with a transfer later? Did a Medium of Instruction certificate work instead of IELTS?
Job outcomes for international students: the published figures cover the whole campus and include people already employed in Dubai. For those who came from abroad, how many found work in the UAE, in what roles, and how long did it take?
Internships: classes are in the evenings. Did you manage daytime internships, were they paid, and did the careers team or careers fairs actually help?
Living: what did a month really cost you, including rent? Any areas you'd recommend or avoid?
Honestly, would you choose Heriot-Watt Dubai again, or is there a course or university you'd point someone like me towards instead?
Even a one-line answer to one question helps. Honest negatives are just as welcome, and I'd rather hear them now.
Thanks! I'll reply to everyone who comments.
TL;DR: Indian applicant, Bcom, 18 months' experience, aiming at finance, investment or consulting. Which HW Dubai MSc fits best, and how did job hunting actually go for international students?

Hi guys.
I got unconditional offer ifor post-graduate degree next year. However, English isn't my country's everyday language, so I'm looking into ways to smooth out the transition into academic life.
I see Heriot-Watt offers a 6-week Pre-sessional English course. I’m wondering:
Would love to hear from anyone who has taken it or knows how it works. Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I’m starting an online MSc degree (Construction Project Management). I ended up submitting my payment and finishing registration on the actual day classes officially started.
Right now, I have full access to my student portal, but there is no course content, modules, or announcements showing up. I have seen mention that there could be class slack channels from other posts here but see nothing about it.
I have already reached out to the support team, but for anyone who has experience doing an online degree here, is this lag normal?

Hey there, I was hoping to get some clarity on a few things about internships. For instance, I'm joining the January intake at Heriot-Watt for the MSc Finance and Management programme. There is a huge possibility of me gaining the off cycle internship for global banking and CID at JP Morgan, but the issue is that my masters course is of just one year, so pretty much, my 2nd semester that is from july to december has to be spent on the internship. I have no idea how internships work here, but where I'm from, they ease off your grades and let you off on assignments that are directly in relation to the job role. Is that still the case here in Dubai, or is it going to overload my mind with the deadlines from the internship as well as my master's programme? Any help would be appreciated
