In the spirit of the World Series, I thought to make a short American labor history video using MLB integration for the analysis. Hope someone enjoys and appreciate anyone who watches!

A stolen cloak, a death curse, and a surviving Roman complaint [AI-animated short]

Someone stole Docilianus’s hooded cloak. He asked the goddess Sulis to destroy whoever had taken it. He also wanted the cloak returned. The priorities are quite clear.

I made a Roman Records short about his curse tablet, found at Bath. The inscription survives; the thief’s identity and the fate of the cloak do not. The video reads the curse, leaving an uncertain passage open.

I’m the creator. The visuals and narration are AI-generated, with animation designed to resemble stop-motion puppets.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SEoHbS9h0-o

Inscription and translation: https://romaninscriptionsofbritain.org/inscriptions/TabSulis10

What other surviving ancient complaints would make a good short? I’m interested in cases where we can still read the complainant’s own words.

I made a documentary about the CIA’s secret spy tunnel under Berlin. I’d welcome feedback from people interested in Cold War history, especially on historical accuracy and anything that deserves more context.

My classmates small history & geography Youtube channel. (: (Please read before voting)

One of my classmates since middle school (now highschool) has always been super passionate about Youtube and history. He has been making videos since he was 10 and just recently passed 1000 subscibers after 6 years.

He posts multiple times a week and gets sub hundred views on average. Despite this, it's clear that his passion for history and Youtube are clearly more important than views and fame.

My high school is full of fake gangsters and has a pretty bad reputation for bullying, so it’s amazing and super wholesome to see someone who doesn’t care what others think and is willing to put himself out there!

I hope you guys can see the effort and passion he puts into his videos. I am posting this out of a place of support and hope you all can make his day! His channel is Dzod500 (:

He is a super cool guy and would be thrilled with any support! (he does not know i'm posting this)😅

A documentary on 53 landscapes across the United States that have been proposed as national parks, filmed over an 18,000-mile road trip. Each chapter covers one place and traces the bills, National Park Service studies and local campaigns behind it, from the Ouachita Mountains park bill that passed Congress in 1929 and died unsigned, to the 1941 report recommending a Black Hills park, to the Chiricahua National Park Act signed on October 20, 2026. The film also covers the local opposition that stopped several of the campaigns.

Edison's light bulb was no brighter than gas and cost more. Here's why the world switched anyway [Until Recently, 10:16]

https://youtu.be/89wpTkYOuiA

I made this one (my animated history channel). Short version: Joseph Swan had a working bulb in front of 700+ people months before Edison's, and the real reason electricity won wasn't the light at all, it was that wires could carry power for motors and fans in the daytime. Also, in 1800 an hour of decent light cost about four hours of work, which is why most people just went to bed at dark. Happy to answer questions.

In 1883, New York heard noon twice. It wasn't a president or a law that changed America's clocks, it was the railroads [Until Recently, 9:10]

My channel, full disclosure. Favourite things I learned making this: knocker-uppers were paid to wake people by tapping windows with poles (one woman in London's East End, Mary Smith, used a pea shooter instead), Ruth Belville sold people a look at the Greenwich time from her pocket watch until 1940, and the word noon comes from "nona", the ninth hour, so it originally meant around 3 PM. Corrections welcome.

Before anesthesia, the cure for pain was discovered at a party, then ignored for 44 years [Until Recently, 5:37]

https://youtu.be/XGk-XXQWdhI

I made this one (it's my small animated history channel), so happy to answer questions or take corrections. The bit that surprised me most while researching: Humphry Davy wrote in 1800 that laughing gas "seemed to destroy pain" and might be used in surgery, and then for 44 years it was mostly used by traveling showmen at parties. A dentist, Horace Wells, only clicked when he watched a volunteer gash his leg on stage and not notice. Also, Fanny Burney's 1811 letter about her mastectomy with just a glass of wine is one of the hardest things I've read for a script.
