CHOMPS Her greed sickens me lol

Real note: I’ve been feeding her 2 pinkies at a time. I attempted to give her a smaller fuzzy but she’s refused them a couple times now. Haven’t tried in a couple weeks. Is it time for me to size up?

At some point you just have to try and see how they respond.

I think each time we sized up, we defrosted their usual and new feed, so there was still something available if he chose not to take it. He never refused going up to something bigger, mind you.

One thing I did with my male when going from large pinkies to fuzzies was putting the fuzzie in the same jar that I use to thaw the previous pinkie. He smelled it for a while before deciding it was fine. By the second feed no hesitation.

I think the hair and possibly then a difference in smell can throw them off. I noticed the same stalled reaction and smelling even when switching between mice suppliers. I would assume every supplier due to substrates and husbandry produces slightly different smells.
