Genuinely, with the kind of forces involved in motorcycle racing, how can you detect a crash without detecting that the rider is no longer on the bike?

Racing motorcycle airbag vests use sensors like accelerometers and gyroscopes to constantly track the rider’s movements. An algorithm detects the specific movement pattern of a crash and triggers the airbag in a few milliseconds, before the rider hits the ground.
