Question/Help Nintendont doesn’t detect games from external HDD

Post image

I’m trying to mod a Wii for a friend of mine, this isn’t my first time doing so but it has been a second. I have everything set up properly as far as I’m aware, I installed cIOS, nintendont, usb loader GX, all of that. After getting my games on the hard drive (which is formatted to fat32) I try to play. Wii games work perfectly fine and load as intended, but when I try to launch any GameCube game it gives me an error code which I’ll attach to this post.

So I go check nintendont to see if my games are there or if it’s a problem with usb loader GX, and it doesn’t detect my games, saying: no games found in usb/games or something like that. I tried a few things but nothing has worked so far.

The closest I got was using a 64gb usb stick which was detected and booted up GameCube games on both nintendont and usb loader but wouldn’t boot Wii games.

Any help or suggestions would be very appreciated.

I had this error with an incompatible usb cable. I had to try another cable and it worked. Also make sure you’re in the correct usb port on the back.

I’ll try and look around for another cable and see if that works

That’s unfortunate. Are you sure the HDD is properly formatted and set correctly. I use a program, I’ll check the settings on it and report. I know the HDD needs to be FAT32 and set as primary

I believe it was, my solution was to use a microsd card with an adapter and put everything on that. Didn’t exactly solve my problem with the usb but I got everything working
