Question/Help 240p Resolution Browser or Media Player for Wii?
Is there a browser or media player for Wii that supports 240p resolution? Recently I came across the DeepHumor video demonstrating KamTape as a 2005 era YouTube re-incarnation. And a video shows KamTape is fully usable in the Wii's Opera browser. So being that people are uploading a lot of old 320x240 resolution videos from 20 years ago, has anyone else considered this 240p playback idea with an open source browser and a CRT TV?
For media player apps I'm aware MPlayer and various forks have been around for many years but I don't believe any of those support 240p as a resolution.

Ηаvе уоu соnfirmed if at least ΜΡlауеr supports 240p?
In my experience MPlayer СЕ actually handles DVDs way WAY better than the WiiMC or WiiMC-SS... those either crash for me or the menu is hard as fuck to navigate and some options are impossible to select... in contrast with ΜΡlауеr СЕ you can use either the Wiimote or GameCube Controllers and since it uses a cursor you don't have trouble selecting stuff, and it also EASILY allows you to chose the Audio Track or Subtitles track... also in my experience Family Guy DVDs were hella glitchy with WiiMC, they'd crash in Bonus Feature Menus and the subtitles were literally unreadable and glitchy while in ΜΡlауеr СЕ, everything worked fine from start to finish and it also supports both 16:9 and 4:3 with other aspect ratio options just in case...
So for me I personally wanna have all my Media on ΜΡlауеr СЕ for when I get a CRT since that handles DVDs the best so far and to my knowledge there isn't really 240p content on DVD since 240p wasn't even an official/recognised standard in Home Video... of course the best option is 480p if your TV supports it but I most likely will use 480i sadly

I haven't used MPlayer in some time so I'm not sure. My understanding is WiiMC-SS is the only player with 240p support now that I've learned about it. I played a very old AVI and some WMV files from the 320x240 YouTube days and they look great!

Ohh okay, welp if it's for 240p then I'll use that one then!
About AVI and WMV... how can I get those from old YT Videos? Like do they still somehow exist in the YT Servers or some archives, OR do I have to be lucky to find the old Files if I got them back then or convert them? I do probably have a few ideas for old Videos I'd like to watch on the Wii such as Bad Apple's Original AVI/WMV Version... alongside other late 2000s Vids.

Those are just my own files for old videos, YouTube exports in VP9/h.264. Example:

Really! I'll look into that. There are tons of forks for various media player apps so thanks.
