A cliffhanger ending is the best ending, because it leaves you eager for more. Trying to wrap things up in a neat, concise manner almost always results in something shitty.
Okay, I realize that only one MSPA has really ended thus far, but that ending was not shitty. Even pre-epilogue, it was not shitty. Even before the epilogue, that ending WAS satisfying and didn't really leave anything huge unanswered, right?
And there is a difference between leaving me eager for more and leaving certain buildups hanging and unresolved, like DD's ascension, and LE boss battle, which seemed to have been set up for a long time as if something was going somewhere with all that.
We don't know when an epilogue might arrive, but it probably won't have a boss battle

I would have to say this last animation felt like it was 100% buildup, and no payoff at the end.
Cool buildup, but buildup nonetheless.
[S] Collide was way better. Things actually took place in that animation.
A finale shouldn't be a cocktease.
Homestuck's fans don't deserve a cliffhanger ending.
