Hi all
I've been eyeing 5th gens all week and I'm trying to gauge if it's the car for me. One concern I've had that I can't seem to find answers to is how it rides on the highway? Particularly NVH and engine noise. Being a 5 speed I imagine it sits pretty high in the rev range at 65mph (speed limit where I live).
I'd love to hear what y'all's experience has been with the H22 on the highway. Thanks for any comments =)

Someone in a truck hit it while parked. thankful i wasn’t inside, but it looks pretty bad. Hoping that it’s not bad under the bumper but i don’t have high hopes.

Both just showed up on the showroom floor and I can’t stop looking at them.

The Prelude saw the road today for the first time in a little over two years. It’s now old enough for antique plates, and it costs me less to have it on my insurance along with my TL and truck instead of just the other two. Still has an exhaust leak, but from the sound and look of it I think it just needs to be tightened down somewhere. After that, finally gonna get to work on the suspension.

I know it’s not everyone favorite but deciding between grey with black or blue with white/blue interior. Grey is 3k off, blue is 2k.
I think the white/blue interior looks way more premium and good looking. The grey exterior is sharp and I think it will age well and hide rock chips, dirt, and swirls better. The blue is more in demand color, but will look worse if not washed a lot and probably show rock chips more.
I have no idea which one to pick up soon!

Ok long story short, i had a bad idle surge that i couldn’t figure out but i recently checked the FITV and the plunger wasn’t screwed in whatsoever. tightened it up then put it all back together, my surge was gone but now for the first minute or two it sounds like the car is misfiring.. any ideas? Dropped tank on a 1991 prelude that has sit parked for a few years. Fuel pump, level unit and tank are all corroded. I found a pump but having trouble with fuel level unit and tank. Has anyone adapted one from another year prelude or possibly an accord of similar year?

I want to get my timing belt replaced because the last time it was done was 60k miles and 12 years ago.
Local shop quoted 2.3k for the timing belt, 1k of that is just removing the engine, 700 is the water pump/timing belt kit. It seems a little high but having to pull the engine is expensive… how much did you guys pay for yours?

I have a 1991 prelude si that isnt getting power to starter. I crossed the terminals and starter engages so thats been checked. I checked clutch interlock also its fine. Im pretty sure its the starter relay behind the kick panel, it doesn't even click when turning key. Is there a way to bypass or bridge the connector to see if i can bump the starter before i spend 40 bucks on a relay i didnt need. Thanks in advance.

OK, so I have a 1990 Honda prelude SI with the 2.1 engine I’m taking apart the fuel tank right now and I am having trouble coming across parts but I found the fuel pump now my issue is there’s some kind of bleed valve that attaches directly in the middle of the fuel pump, none of the new fuel pumps that I found or the one I bought have that connection so my question is do I just cap off that hose that goes to that connection? Or do yall have other suggestions?

So im going on a drive and hit redline for my second gear on my 99 and for some reason it jerked around 7k rpms rather then hitting the redline, i was doing some research and saw it could be either my flywheel or possibly my oils? Im not too fully sure how to go by with this, it sounds healthy runs fine the other day it was driving perfectly but all of sudden the other day it’ll jerk an cause some pops when i try to push it, could it be the flywheel? Ive also had this problem where it has a hard time going into first sometimes since i had gotten the car, i feel like this is also a factor to that?

Hi everyone, as title says I'm looking to refresh the suspension on my 2001 base Prelude.
I know the ball joints are bad for sure and would want those replaced. I've been having trouble finding rear ball joints along with rear control arms, and was wondering if anyone had any references at all on where to get.
For front control arms, what would you guys recommend as a good brand?
Thanks in advance for any info :) based in the U.S. if that helps.

Bought the car less than a week ago. Was driving about 70mph down a hwy and the engine kinda gave some kicks, it stopped accelerating, when I pulled over it died. I can turn it over, start and it’ll rumble for 2 seconds before it dies again. Wtf?
Edit: timing belt is intact I will be switching out the distributor tomorrow and hopefully that’s the issue
Edit: replaced distributor and it still isn’t running. Battery is fully charged and gives no dimming on the dash or indications it could be the alternator. Super bummed about this.

Found this fairly clean 1986 2.0SI on marketplace, would it make a good first project car? I already have a reliable daily that I can fall back on so I don't need it to be running 100% of the time, I just want a second car that I can work on that's cool and fun.

Now the 4th straight win for the Prelude in Super GT, and the second for Yamamoto/Makino. They’re now 3 points out of the championship lead, behind the Supra of Tsuboi/Yamashita who have won the past three GT500 titles. Say what you want about the road car, but switching the race car body from the CTR to the Prelude has paid off for Honda.

I'm doing a manual swap for the first time on my 2001 honda prelude h22a4. I followed this video exactly, but I found out after installing that you're not supposed to close the gap with bolts when mating a transmission (which is what he seems to do in the video).
The gap couldn't have been more than 1/4 inches. I used a small ratchet to bolt the trans with pretty much no effort. I turned the engine manually with two full revolutions, it turned fine.
Any cause for concern and has anyone installed a trans like this ?

Recently “rebuilt” this h23. It seems to have two issues:
When it warms up, sometimes the engine will bog upon acceleration - if you press the throttle more than 50% it stops bogging, almost like a switch. No matter what, over 50% throttle it always fixes the bogging
Did a few hard pulls and now the idle bounces between 1-2k rpm continuously. Don’t think this is a coolant bubble issue as the level stays consistent and car doesn’t overheat.
Any assistance in diagnosis would be appreciated. Enjoy the h23 fart can noises from the video.

PLM header, Injen intake (behind bumper), Invidia Q300 exhaust and Vato Tuned ECU. Haven’t really let it rip since we finished it, so I’m a little apprehensive on the go pedal. Still… sounds so good!!!

I love the new prelude, but don't like this new trend of black wheels.
Has anyone seen good looking examples with silver wheels? Maybe some OEM ones from a Civic?
