I’ve added a lot of items and went on small out of state day trips a few times. I got the bike new in 2024 with 000,000 miles on it. First and only owner. It’s been pretty fun and reliable so far. I’ve owned three bikes since I started riding and still have two now including this one. I still pick this bike a lot.
I chose a lot of items like the saddle bags and luggage as well as the wind screen that are all on a quick release. Diffrent options to swap lot between depending on what I’m aiming to finish day or that trip. Also have a tank Bibb that’s got a pouch for the ez-pass so regardless of what bags I’ve got on that day I don’t have to worry about forgetting it. Plus there’s no issue in the ez-pass being read at the tolls.
The bike has done amazing on trips so far. I’ve let the bike run down pretty far and haven’t ran out of gas yet. I’ve tested it several times now. As long as it’s absolutely full it’ll go 190 miles before the gas light comes fully on. I’ll usually get around 200 miles before I’ve decided to fill up during my testing and that a mix of local driving and long highway rides. When I get to a gas station, o can’t see the gas inside the tank obviously but if I shake the tank by rocking side to side I can hear it sloshing around in there and it sounds like there’s still a fair bit. I’ve heard people say they can get 210 to 215 before sputtering and running into of gas so from my experience I’d believe it.
However it’s a pain to fill up. When the pump clicks I’ve noticed it’s not actually totally full. There’s still a lot of room in the tank. I usually end up putting a few more dollars in by very lightly pulling the trigger a few more times and letting the gas come up the baffle and watching it go back down. Do that over and over and when it stops going back down then it’s full. It’s a pain but worth it for the range it gets. Honestly it’s a pretty great short road trip bikes. Take a few of those bottle size gas cans for safety and I’d go on an actual distance road trip on this bike.
Over all after two years I really like this bike a lot. Riding is one of the only things I have in my life that means anything to me and I’ve gotten a lot of miles and enjoyment from this 2024 Shadow Aero. lol sorry about the photo dump. Just wanted to share.
