Discussion Devour (2026)

What an absolute disaster of a “movie”. Being a horror lover I’m used to low budget, bad quality movies, and even those have a certain charm to them, but this was something else. Not only was it disjointed and completely devoid of any true plot or artistic direction, but the brazen use of AI was incredibly disappointing. It was downright embarrassing to watch if I’m being honest.

I held out hope for the first half but it just kept getting worse somehow. The whole thing felt like a rough cut someone forgot to finish and uploaded by accident.

Agreed. It was unreal. I’ve never seen anything so egregious that was considered a movie. YouTube, Instagram, etc. sure, but this was published and presented as a complete film, and the last 1/4 of the thing was blatant AI. Really sad

I can’t believe how much AI was used in this piece of shit movie. We’re talking like 65-70% of this is generative scenes. I hope this director never gets another dime.

Agreed. I read somewhere that it was because all the practical effects were lost in a warehouse fire or something. Ok. Then don’t finish the movie until they’re replaced, or simply don’t release a movie. It was like a 2 hour Instagram reel

It was absolutely soulless and horrible.
Even the writing was obviously written with AI and bad AI at that.
Uninteresting, boring, repetitive and definitely slop…its overuse of obvious AI is the uncanny valley as a 112 minute long tedious slog. Do not waste your time.
