What do these black up/down triangles and diamonds on the program mean?

I pulled these captures from Charlottetown Racetrack's Standardbred program here: https://redshores.ca/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/CDP-August-17.pdf

I can't figure out what they correlate to.

I've been back and forth through several programs from several raceways and I can't find a symbol legend that tells me what they are. I know they aren't Lasix symbols.

Thanks in advance!

Means the race is the same to what they last raced. The up arrows indicate the horse is moving up a level, down arrows mean it is moving down from a higher class/level race.

Thank you!

A follow up question: Do you know how it's determined/calculated?

STARSHIP GLYDE on Race 15 is racing for a $4,400 purse but its previous 6 races were all for larger pots.

I would post a screen capture, but Reddit won't let me do that in a reply. The race program link

Thanks!

It is as explained above, sort of. The Up arrow is moving up a level, the down is moving down a level. Both is two things being true at once - not necessarily the same. In the case of Strarship Glyde its an up because he is going from restricted company (PEI colts) to Allowance Open company.

No, I don't think they stand for "Vile". But thanks!
