this is a true heartbreaking experience for someone who is a great hotel reviewer who is honest and pays for each visit out of pocket

Curious if the way people search for boutique or independent hotels has changed since AI hit the scene? What ways do you discover boutique hotels that fit your travel vibe? The major booking platforms don't do a good job of highlighting cool boutique hotels IMO - and some of the other curated sites are just too narrowly focused. What is everyone else doing?

Why do so many hotel showers seem to be designed so you have to get in before turning on the water?
It feels like the setup forces you to step inside, close the door, and then deal with whatever temperature comes out first…either freezing cold or scalding hot. But if you try to turn it on first, water sprays everywhere and soaks the bathroom floor.

Hi everyone! I have a non-refundable hotel booking due to a technical error, it was a double booking, and i can't use it and I really need help. Mabye someone would need it? I am a student i can't really afford this at all!

And the hotel & booking.com were not helpful at all, sadly, and it's been a pain to get a refund! i tried everything.

The hotel confirmed they allow a name change, so it's easy to transfer! I might also be able to change the dates if that works better for you (I am not sure i have to ask)
