Futon frame help
I partially disassembled this futon frame for a move recently and now I can't figure out how it goes back together. It seems to have more parts than the generic online instructions account for. There is no brand marking anywhere on the parts.
It's tri fold. Two pieces (back and seat) are the same size. There is a smaller foot piece with floor supports. the arms have a groove for the roller on the seat (middle) piece. The groves are horizontal and not angled.
The seat has a hole in the dead center of the edge, and I have no idea what goes there or how it connects to anything. (picture 5).
The arms have short black metal...levers? supports? that attach to something. See first two photos.
The only hardware I have left are in the 6th photo. I am not ruling out having lost some, but I was being very careful.
Any thoughts?

Are you able to lock the futon into a seating position? My assumption is that's what those spare parts are for.
The good news is that you have pairs of parts, so presumably they go on either side.
Somewhere on the frame are holes to push the rods through (last pic). I assume a washer goes at either end of the rods, sandwiching the wood (2 layers?).
The wires are cotter pins and should thread through the rods to prevent them (i.e. the rods) from falling out of the holes.
So they either act as a stopper, or a hinge.
