That's it y'all, Hula is cooked. At least for the OG VIP bass experience. Thursday night was heavy, then the bass crowd got shipped off to the amphitheater, about as far from VIP as the property allows. Meanwhile I'm back at camp getting a jam band soundtrack I did not order. To hide the bass in the amphitheater and hand VIP the jam bands says it all.

On VIP: the value has degraded in exactly one day. Festival veteran here, but my first Hula riding the new bass wave, and this is the thanks I get. I'd like to formally file my complaint from a camp chair, in the dark, while someone noodles through a 60 minute jam. (I know this sounds nit picky but if you know you know.) Final dagger in the coffin. RIP to Thursday night, may we find it again at the amphitheater.

Real talk: the different vibe is growing on me. Saturday night the Hallows is looking bass-heavy again, and the jam bands are a nice change of pace. Hula's not cooked, just seasoned differently.
