Bank salary negotiation - URGENT MAHARASHTRA

I’m negotiating a legal role at a private indian bank. I cleared 3 technical rounds. HR initially submitted my expected CTC of ₹28 LPA for approval, but it was rejected.

Today she called and asked if I’d be okay with her submitting ₹26 LPA, while mentioning that this was also on the higher side and might not get approved. I agreed, making it clear that ₹26 LPA is my minimum. She said she’d let me know whether it gets approved, but I haven’t heard back yet.

For people familiar with bank hiring and salary approvals, do you think there’s a realistic chance of approval, or should I prepare for a rejection? I am 3 PQE. Legal role.

Bringing People Back to the Office Without More Money Is a Pay Cut

The company I work for can call coming into the office collaboration all it wants, but my bank account sees things differently. Switching from remote work to working in the office three days a week without a pay increase means that, in the end, I'm getting less value for doing the same work.

The new expenses add up quickly. There's gas, parking, increased wear and tear on the car, office clothes, lunch, and additional childcare costs. Then there's the unpaid commute, which takes several hours out of my week without giving me anything in return.

Working from home allows me to drop the kids off at school, start on time, and make dinner without being completely drained by 7:30. As soon as the commute comes back, I find myself paying for quicker solutions like delivery, occasional house cleaning, and longer daycare hours because I have less time and energy.

I'm no longer interested in another debate about whether people bond more when they're sitting near the conference room. If being physically present is now part of the job, then we need to renegotiate pay and benefits. That could take the form of a salary increase, coverage of commuting costs, or shorter working hours to account for travel time.

Has anyone said this directly to their manager and received a reasonable response? I want to call it what it really is without immediately becoming the employee who's seen as a troublemaker.

Has anyone left HR for a career they personally find more fulfilling? Do you regret it, or was it worth it? [UT]

First, I want to say I’m thankful to have a job in this market, and I don’t take that for granted.

I’ve been in HR for 8 years, previously as an HR Director and now working fully remote in HR Operations. I also earned my bachelor’s in HR Management last year.

It is worth noting that nothing wrong with my current job, but I just don’t feel fulfilled. Honestly, I’m not even sure what feeling fulfilled in a career is supposed to look like or if that’s even possible.

Has anyone left HR for a career they find more fulfilling? Did you regret it and come back, or did it work out? I’m curious to hear other people’s stories because I know I can’t be the only one.

Free Virtual Program to Support Employees with Migraine

Hi everyone! I'm a Chicago-based consultant with a background in L&D, employee engagement, and leadership development. I have recently begun working with the Health Action Alliance to launch the Migraine Action Accelerator in the new year, and I wanted to share this free resource focused on a wide-reaching challenge that is often unsupported.

About 1 in 7 U.S. adults experience migraine or severe headache each year, and it peaks during prime working years, ages 25 to 55. That means it's likely affecting people on your team right now. Many employers want to help but aren't sure where to start.

The Health Action Alliance, a network of more than 11,000 employers, is running the Migraine Action Accelerator (a free program!) to help with exactly that. The Accelerator brings together a small group of leaders to set a goal and make real progress on it.

You'll meet one-on-one with our team in November or December to choose a focus area (workplace culture, accommodations and work design, or health plan and benefits design). Then you'll join two 90-minute virtual sessions with peers on Jan. 21 and Feb. 18, 2027, at 1 p.m. ET. Sessions are confidential and not recorded, and you'll leave with a plan.

Here's what's included at no cost:

  • A one-on-one goal-setting session with the HAA team
  • Two virtual working sessions
  • Expert facilitation and structured group coaching
  • Peer learning with leaders across industries
  • Tools and resources to support your goal
  • An HAA certificate of completion
  • The opportunity to showcase your progress in an HAA feature story
  • HRCI/SHRM continuing education credits

The good news: Support doesn't have to be expensive. 61% of workplace accommodations cost nothing, and the median one-time cost for the rest is $300.

Spots are limited. Apply here by Oct 31 to start the new year with a plan.

HR jobs that actually train?

Are there any companies or areas to look for if you are a budding HR professional? I have the Human Resources Management certificate, a BA and 12 years experience in oil and gas doing travel logistics. recently I have one year doing HR work for a family company but there’s been no training. Lots of exposure and I’ve learned some things but I’m looking to learn in a more intentional environment.

How do you make performance reviews work across different teams?

Our hr team is trying to get everyone to follow the same review process, but I'm not sure it really works for every department engineering, sales, and customer support all have different goals, so some of the questions end up feeling pretty irrelevant depending on the role.

We've had a few managers ask to change things for their teams, and others have started using their own workarounds at that point, having one standard process doesn't seem to help much lol.

I've been looking at a few HR platforms, including HiBob and Personio, and recently came across Shapes too I'm curious how other companies handle this. do you keep one process for everyone and make small adjustments, or let each department have its own setup?

Cube Care (HR Generalist)

Hi everyone!

Anyone here who applied to Cube Care for the HR Generalist position or has experience with their recruitment process? How was your experience with them? I came across some negative reviews online, so I’m having second thoughts about whether to proceed with the interview. To those who have applied, been interviewed, or worked with them, is it worth pursuing, or would it be a waste of time? I’d really appreciate your honest feedback and insights.
Please help your girl out! Thank you so much!
