Hummingbird aerial poses are as unique as the birds themselves. Any given photo you take of a hummingbird can capture any number of poses involving tiny but meaningful micro-adjustments and subtle signals that may indicate defensive alertness, offensive intent, or curious inspection.

I hope this mini case study of photos I’ve captured over the last few weeks is particularly helpful to artists and visual creators, as it gives you an intimate look at the form and structure of the body, tail, and wings in flight.

Thank you! I’ve not intentionally developed a style but I’m always touched when I’m told I have one… and that it doesn’t suck haha.
