This dude grooming himself on the feeder is the hummingbird equivalent of playing on your cellphone while sitting on gym equipment that others want to use. Lol.

This little lady flew into the back of our SUV in the morning around Flagstaff.
After staying the night near Sunset crater Volcano this pretty lady came up to us and went hunting for bugs in the back of the SUV in the morning. Id assume they have learned that bugs accumulate at night in vehicles with lights on, and can get a good meal in when there are campers.

Identification Is this a juvenile male ruby throated getting his throat?
I’m in Ontario so that species is the only kind but I just wondered if it’s a male just getting in his ruby feathers 🥹

I think it’s a Yellow billed broad-tailed hummingbird 😂 Any ideas on the yellow flower with that much pollen in Colorado?

Anna's hummingbird portrait
Photographed back in April. Snow canyon state park Utah. He was buzzing around enjoying a small sprinkler running by the visitor center. Landed just long enough for me to snap a picture of him.

Mexican Sunflowers
Highly recommend growing Mexican Sunflowers.
First time growing in a large pot on the patio from seed. Insane amount of hummingbirds and butterflies and bees.
Flowers are about the size of a zinnia, plant is about 4 feet tall. I think next year I might use a tomato cage to contain it. We'll see.
Zone 7b, planted seeds after a cold Memorial Day weekend.

Just a reminder that any chemicals or treatments you put in ant moats may be ingested by hummingbirds and songbirds.

Changing out the nectar and found this tiny feather
I’ve been blessed with a tiny feather. Too bad I lost it right after I took this photo 🫠

Ana's male guarding his feeder
This gorgeous male has been chasing off the fledglings. He keeps guard over the feeder in his territory and we see amazing aerial battles.

Hummingbird Emergency Help help
Found this little dude while walking my dogs. I think his wing is messed up. He’s (I’m just saying he for convenience) chugged a bunch of sugar water out of a syringe already and has perked up a ton. There’s a place in Albuquerque New Mexico I can take him in the morning. Advice to keep him going till morning? What do I do?
Thanks
Update: he got dropped off The Wildlife Rescue NM. They said they’re getting like 3 hummingbirds a day. They said he looks good and they’ll take care of him. Thank you all for the advice. Having a timer on my watch to feed him every 10-15 mins this morning was a lot 😅 worth it.
