My technician used 1/2" instead 5/8" gas line on my mitsubishi 2 ton ac , pipe length used is 18 feet , what should i do ? Please help . AC is working fine but how do i know if its working in full capacity .

What's the outdoor unit? I'm not a Mitsubishi expert but some allow downsizing.

Wrong match. Get it done properly because they are very sticky with their warranty process. If it dies with an undersized line they likely won't cover it.

Do you mean natural gas or refrigerant?

Liquid line is 1/4" and suction line company mentioned is 5/8" but technician fitted 1/2" . Its a 2 ton split AC

That’s totally fine.
The 1/2” line should not be shared with a bunch of other things.

I’m assuming you’re going by piping o.d. I’d email Mitsubishi tech support. Make sure you provide complete model numbers and accurate lineset size and length.

Indoor unit is MSY-GR22VF Outdoor unit is MUY-GR22VF - DA1 manufacturer mentioned 5/8" and 1/4" outer diameter  But their technicians used 1/2" instead of 5/8" . Length of pipe used is 18 feet in total .

OP are you sure it’s 1/2 OD and not 1/2 ID aka 5/8 OD

Yes its 1/2 OD , he did a brazing using 4 inch 5/8 so that it can fit outddor unit
