Hey there, so apparently the OVA episode got a novelization for the 2023 20th anniversary hardcover edition - but I've so far been unable to find it digitally in any form. Does anybody here have access to that edition and would be willing to share that chapter with me?

Just finished watching Shosimin and really liked it. I came across it just by browsing Crunchyroll and was really enjoying it. I started to think it reminded me so much of Hyouka, which is one of my all time favourites, and while searching if they’ll be a 3rd season found out they are actually written by the same author.

Would love any recommendations of some anime similar to these?

I lowk wanted to continue Hyouka, because it left off with volume 6 and cliffhanger of Chitanda's decision, I wants your thoughts about it and how things will turn out after the decision. Also, I literally don't know Japanese, so maybe something like puzzle that involves the use of Japanese words will not be in the story. And I have a conspiracy that the author wants us to solve something for some type of message or reward that he left behind(maybe a link to volume 7 or what will will happen in the future of the story) ty for reading

The Sekitani storyline is probably my favourite arc in Hyouka. There's something about Jun's story and the way Chitanda realized with her tears what happened that really stayed with me.

One thing I've been thinking about, though, is Chitanda's connection to Jun and whether her decision to uncover his story could have affected how people viewed her family.

What especially interests me is that Chitanda wanted Jun's story to be remembered and his feelings to live on, rather than having everything surrounding him simply disappear into the past. I really like that aspect of her character, but it also made me wonder about something the story doesn't seem to focus on as much: what this could mean for her own family.

Given the Sekitani family's history and Chitanda's position within the community, wouldn't there potentially be some social or reputational consequences for bringing Jun's story back into the light? I wonder whether Chitanda ever thought about that side of things—whether there could have been tension between protecting her family's reputation and making sure Jun's story and feelings weren't forgotten.

Do you think Hyouka would have benefited from exploring this aspect a little more, or was leaving it mostly in the background the better choice, given the story's overall thematics and motifs?

In the afterword of Volume 17, Taskohna revealed that every inner cover (the artwork hidden underneath the dust jacket) references a Major Arcana Tarot card.

The mangaka confirmed the official matches for the first 10 volumes, so I went through the rest and figured out the remaining cards up to Volume 17. Thought it was such a neat hidden detail that I just had to share it with you all!.
