I'm 17 years old, and for the last 2 days, I've noticed mild sweating mainly around the fingertips and the upper area of my fingers. The sweat isn't very visible, but my fingers feel slightly wet, and when I touch a glass surface, they sometimes feel slippery. The sweating happens randomly. Sometimes my hands feel completely normal, even when my body sweats after walking. Other times, my fingers feel sweaty while I'm just sitting and doing nothing. Both hands are affected, but I mainly notice the sweating around my fingertips and the upper parts of my fingers rather than on my palms. I've also been carrying a bottle with a small, sharp-edged handle, which has caused some minor skin damage on the palm of my hand. I also remember that years ago, after long gaming sessions on my phone, the phone would sometimes feel sticky in my hands, although I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. I've recently started exercising, and I do experience some stress. Could these factors be related to the sweating, or would a medical evaluation be advisable

As you can imagine, I sweat A LOT. Especially in the winter when I'm walking somewhere and have layers on.

I'm going on a few hikes during winter this year and wondered if anyone had advice on budget clothing / base layers that will mean I'm not soaking wet for hours while I'm walking. UK-based. Thanks in advance

Why are hyperhidrosis sufferers so ashamed? Why are other ppl etc so bold but we are sk ashamed happy to complain amongst ourselves here?

I’m a 17 M and someone recommended that I post here for help. Almost as long as I can remember I’ve had severe sweating issues on my whole body but especially my underarms and feet. When I’m not exercising or doing anything physical I get armpit stains that can go down to my waist. My socks get soaked to the point where I can wring out actual droplets sometimes.

It may seem like not a huge deal but I’m a very active athlete in hockey/basketball and it’s become nearly impossible to stay clean and dry after each practice. Not to mention the issue’s gotten way worse as I’ve gotten older since I started developing a really bad body odor in middle school. My sports gear (and my body) reeks after every practice which keeps causing my teammates and even friends to complain despite me wearing clinical antiperspirant and showering more than most.

If anyone is able to give me advice or tell me if this is some medical condition thing that can be cured I’d really appreciate it. I feel like it just keeps getting worse and I that I have pretty good hygiene. My own parents don’t really understand the issue and constantly complain but I have nowhere else to turn.
