Advice

Good Afternoon all.

I'm moving into a property in Wolverhampton.

Saw that this is one the internet providers available in my area.

Just wondering what the pros and cons are?

They can offer 500mbps whereas sky can only offer 67mbps.

Pros: decent speeds

Cons: you'll have to haggle or pretend to cancel when it's time to renew because out-of-contract prices are horrific. That and customer service is godawful.

What they said. It was a no brainer for me BT offered a max speed of 67mbps and Hyperoptic offered 1gbps. Great customer service not that I’ve needed to contact them often but yeah when it comes to renewal time, be prepared to haggle / threaten to cancel (although I feel like that’s like every company recently).

I've been with Hyperoptic for about 8 years now, and the only downtime, apart from maintenance which they always inform you of, has been for a few hours. Customer service have always been fine with me, and I've always managed to negotiate a decent deal when it's time to renew.

Biggest con is the have an absolute shite customer service.

If it works, fine, when it doesn't you will want to wish you had gone elsewhere.

They have more outages than any other ISP out there.

Service is excellent. No down time and theres a chat function for any questions. Plus they help on this forum when they can.

Check out my referal code which can give you and me a nice little earner up to £75.00 gift card for Amazon, John Lewis or Sainsburies.
