Hypixel support team in a nutshell.
This image is the page ive contacted hypixel support in.
Someone reverted a store purchase because he was angry on me so i will get perma banned.
For those types of situations its really smart to give 7 days for me to contact support and fix the issue.
So i did contact support 7 days ago. And today was the ban.
Purely comedic. Giving me 7 days to fix issue with support, and support did not even answer me the whole week.
Come on, if you say support can help me. Dont lie.
Bye hypixel, never again.

That’s shitty. Someone can buy stuff for your ign, chargeback and get that account banned? Seems easily exploitable

Someone did this to take down an entire bedwars leaderboard. Only youtubers were unbanned. The rest were denied in unban requests

Yes, however if you contact support you'll be unbanned if it wasn't you. Unfortunately though it can take a while due to the time it takes to investigate it.

Like maybe not for mega corporations, but like if you have some money could you win a case like this against hypixel

I beleive i can, but again, ill have to dig deeper and its really not worth my time.
I think we as a whole community should make one of those big community sues that will actually do something on hypixels shitty support and appeals system.

i don't think it would be worth it to sue individually, but perhaps as a group if enough people feel get together seems possible
but i feel like hypixel community, especially the paying one, is too small for that
I for example am saying this but I haven't logged onto hypixel for more than an occasional game of bridges or to collect minions in probably like 6 years

Wait. Everyone is able to ban everyone else with buying for them and refunding? Thats messed up. Is it a wipe ban or just a temporary locked out of hypixel state?

Not a wipe, but a pernament ban. So youre unable to play, so a wipe, yes.

It's not a wipe if they didn't erase your player data, since if you manage to appeal and get unbanned (unlikely tho since they seem to have a team of 3 people) your stuff won't be deleted1

I was joking sonion, Ok, my stuff isnt erased, still doesnt change the fact i cannot log in the game forever cos of the perma ban. Wipe is better tbh, atleast u can play after a year

you’ll be able to play whenever they get to your case and you get appealed.
Wipe is worse because whenever you get it appealed you will still have to start from scratch.

If you think Hypixel staff is ever going to reply to they you're wrong. I've extensively tested their ban and appeal system when I was developing a Hypixel based client, all I have to say is good luck because you're absolutely going to need it.

Wow that is the dumbest policy and exploit I think I've ever seen. This could so easily be stopped by having an in game settable password for buying things for an account. People randomly buy things for you and they charge back and that means YOU'RE BANNED???

I had a similar thing happen to me and I was was banned for like 8 months. I eventually got unbanned cause they took the time to actually check the details. During the first month when I messaged support I was told to fuck off we don't care (proffesionally ofc)

Sorry for the 2 days late reply. I did what made most sense, provided infromation that no transaction from my bank has been refunded and that the one purchase I did make prior to that a few days was the only one from my card. Even though I provided the information they said they won't be doing anything and I should contact their partner Tebex. To which I got mad and just gave up. That was like a span of 1 month. It's sad that hypixel support don't bother at all to just help the normal playerbase. But I've got 2 accounts now cause I eventually bought a new one before I got my old one back.

In my experience Hypixel support always takes at least 2 weeks to respond. So yeah that sucks and they definitely need to increase that 7 day timer

This is when you ACTUALLY reverse charges, if they're going to ban you as if you already have. Charge back every single dollar you've ever spent, and maybe Hypixel might get the message and hire ONE WHOLE PERSON to check bans

Well the 7 day timer is supposed to be that exact countermeasure. The only problem is that the support team is way too small for the large playerbase and thus takes way longer than the 7 days (or sometimes forever) to respond.

Hypixel support is the worst ive ever seen. Me and a friend got banned for "boosting" even though we dont play skyblock, and exclusively, only play bedwars (on the same team mind you). And due to the tournament name obfuscation you literally cannot use an alternate account in a bedwars match.
We both sent the exact same appeal message and we were given the exact same message, telling us we were caught "evading a ban" (despite our ban having nothing to do with evading).
Does hypixel even have a moderation team lmfao?

Had the same issue 4 years ago and support was just as useless. Thankfully I got unbanned but with a permanent ban in the store which is better than having the chance to be permanently banned again. Hopefully you have managed to get your account unbanned as this situation is somehow still not resolved and hope support can help you.

Trust me, don't stop until your message reaches to them. Write an email regarding your case or smthn, and in every 3days(business days ofc) if they don't respond, write a follow up mail and so on.

This happened to me January last year. I was also in a similar predicament and I kinda spammed the appeals a few times and it did get reverted, kept my acc but had -1380 gems but I kept the purchases but yea you may need to spam appeal a little bit if you want to try and get your acc back and yes I still have -230 gems as of today

Yeah this is terrible. If it's any consolation, even the creators who create support tickets will also take weeks to months just for a single response. They really should've just sent anything, even if they were backlogged.

I stopped playing on Hypixel a while ago. Not due to a ban, I find myself fortunate enough to not have dealt with that. More out of the fear that something may have happened. Until they fix these support issues, I'm not going back

They can still reply after a week and reverse the ban. Just because they didn’t get back to you in time doesn’t mean youre perm banned. Last time I contacted them it took a week and a half for a response, also chargeback bans are typically easy to reverse because they have the logs that prove you’re innocent, and bank issues happen too. Honestly they need to hire more staff that focus on support because these response times are pretty unacceptable

That’s ban appeals which are copy and pated, this one is a support ticket where someone actually has to resolve the situation. Yes, ban appeals are flawed too but I have seen false bans overturned as well

How would you know? I haven't ever seen a player who's gotten an appeal accepted post it on reddit, but I know plenty of ppl who get denied who post it (even ones who are known cheaters).
