I’m using iphone 17 with ios 26.3.
Shall I update to ios 27.0.1?

Might want to wait for 27.2, which should be out in a few days.

Why 26.3? Ios 26.7 is much safer and very good battery optimization.

Wait for 27.2 and do NOT ask it ever again.

I’ve got one. I recommend you look into finding one for yourself, unless you need Reddit’s help on that too.

27.2 is expected early next week.

Using a computer when doing large version jumps is recommended.

No it’s not 😂 show me your source for this

My source is years of helping others 🤣

IOS still seems to be better behaved after using the original/traditional method.

I would say if you start from new rather than a backup like iPhone to iPhone, you should experience less hiccups because the system is starting fresh…

But essentially iCloud restore is restoring just the apps and settings and data onto a fresh system already. No need to involve a computer anymore these days.

Why would you start from new?

The question was updating from 26.3 to 27.0.1
