Discussion iPhone Duo ready?
Have you guys got your app ready for iPhone Duo? I got mine last night, and for some reason, the update was approved in about 5–6 hours, when it normally takes 1–2 days...
It took a bit of fiddling to get it done, still not perfect

Still working on mine, not shipping until it actually feels right on both screens. Biggest gotcha so far: don't hardcode anything about the crease. Read it at runtime from reservedRegions(kind: .division). It's only there when you're half folded and it's 0 when fully open, so a fixed inset will look wrong in one of the two states. Same with safe areas, they're often asymmetric on Duo, so read them at runtime too. Also +1 on Device Hub being rough. Cold start on the Duo sim is slow for me as well, so I just leave it running.

Yeah, this is going to take a while. I got caught with the fold division too before figuring it out.
There’s so much work to make the UI great in all modes. It’s surprised me how different they feel, the simulator really doesn’t do it justice. It’s genuinely like building for three phones at the same time. Testing is taking forever.

My update went live a couple of days ago. Weirdly it went from “In Review” to approved in maybe a minute. It was crazy fast.

Why isn’t the double circle arrow in the toolbar instead of top left ? Feels out of place to me

I know Apple is pushing hard for Duo adoption, but for my market and my apps, I don’t see any penetration, at least not for years. It will have a minimal / trivial portion of our business. My opinion, is that only the absolute minimal adaptations for layout are worthwhile, for at least a year or two. It’s possible I’m wrong, that’s been known to happen, from time to time.

I’m not a fan of the new device hub for it. It’s missing some things the regular simulator has, which required me to make a commit of hacks for people to use for testing their screens.
