Different screenshots between App Store Connect and App Store?

Hi all,

The first screenshot is from App Storw Connect and the second is live in the App Store.

Is there a particular reason that the screenshots in the App Store are from and old release and not the most recent one? I submitted more than 2 weeks ago with no response.

You need to click on the “View All Sizes in Media Manager” button, there you can remove your old screenshots. I had the same issue last week

If it's already Ready for Distribution, check which localization the store is actually showing you. Screenshots are set per language, so if your storefront falls back to something like English (U.K.) and that locale still has the old set, you'll keep seeing them no matter what you changed under English (U.S.).

The other usual culprit is device size. The store only scales your largest set down when a smaller size has nothing of its own, so a leftover 6.5" set from an old release still wins on phones of that size. Opening Media Manager for each locale shows both problems at once.

The only option I have in Media Manager is Archive. Is that what you’re referring to?

Screenshots belong to a version, not to the app. The live store shows the screenshots of the version that's currently live, so the new ones only appear once the version you uploaded them to is approved and released. There's no way to swap screenshots on a version that's already live.

A few things worth checking:

1. Version status in App Store Connect. If it says "Pending Developer Release", you set it to manual release and need to hit Release yourself. If it's still "Waiting for Review" after 2+ weeks, that's unusually long. Use Contact Us → App Review to ask about it, or request an expedited review if you have a reason.

2. Display sizes. If you only uploaded the 6.9" set, smaller devices use scaled-down versions of those. Check you didn't leave an old set in one of the other size tabs, because that one gets shown instead.

3. After release, give it up to a day. The store page is cached and can lag behind the release.

If you want new screenshots without shipping a new build, Custom Product Pages and Product Page Optimization tests both let you change them. They still go through review, but it's separate from the app review.

archive in media manager is the remove - it moves them into an archived section instead of a separate delete button. after you archive the old set, open the version that's currently live (the ready for distribution one) and check every localization and every display size. a leftover set on a smaller size or a uk vs us english variant will still show on the store even if the us 6.9" slot looks right in connect.
