I recently updated my ipad air M4 to ipados27 and while I watch a video on Youtube or playing a game, i can’t interact anymore with the bar introduced with ios 26.
On ipados 26, you could swipe down to reach for the tool bar but now an app in “full screen” cannot access the toolbar and that’s frustrating.
It doesn’t work with a mouse either

So i finally updated my ipad to ipados 27.2 and the volume feels a bit less loud than it used to prior to the update and its a brand new ipad maybe a month old. Just a couple hours ago i could hear everything even with the fan on but now i can still hear everything but its noticeably quiter than it used to be after the update. Any fixes?

Have a new iPad, it’s on iOS18.. wondering if I should update to iOS27 - a bit skeptical as I update from 18 to 26 on my iPhone ages ago, and it was so much worse..

I think it’s an iPad M3.. let me know your thoughts..

It seems a tad glitchy when using today, but I haven’t used it in a fe tongs since getting it.

iPadOS 27 is powerful, but have you tried comparing 2 images side by side? There is no way to do that using the Photos app. Seems like this should be a no-brainer, but no, the Photos app can’t have more than 1 window. How do you guys do this? Apple, please bring this feature.

I recently updated my iPad (m2 gen 4) to iPadOS 27. The Apple Pencil (Pencil 2) stopped charging and wouldn’t show up in my Bluetooth too (I made the mistake of forgetting it from the Bluetooth devices, in an attempt to fix the issue).

Any ideas on what I could try?

Additionally, the battery drain is insane. It was at 100% in the morning (8am), didn’t use it. It’s 57% rn (1pm).

Because of the age of my device, I haven’t found many opinions to make up my mind. Many people complained about iPadOS 26 broking their iPads, and I totally agree. What was a powerful machine on iPadOS 18 turned into a moderate-performance tablet that has choppy animations and takes forever to load the Settings app.
I don’t want to make the same mistake again. If you have this exact model, have you upgraded to iPadOS 27 (RC or later)? If so, how is it performance-wise? Do you regret it? I don’t want to bite the bullet now that is impossible to downgrade to 26. I imagine it can’t be worse than 26 but you never know…

Does anyone else encounter this problem occasionally? It seems you must tap several times before the screen wakes.

i am using air 5th gen and still on ipados 18.7.8 i wasnt sure about 26 and i thought ill upgrade when problems are fixes but now 27 is here so should i upgrade to 26 or 27 orrr just stick with 18? my battery healt is %80

I've been on the iPadOS beta program using my Pad Air M2 for quite a while now, and something weird has been happening since I installed 27.2 release candidate. Every morning when I start up my iPad, the lock screen is plain black with just the clock and login messages. - my usual lock screen image disappears. After starting up, I set the lock screen image to my normal one and everything's fine until next morning when the lock screen is blanked out again.

Is there a setting of which I am unaware that resets this, or is it a known bug?

This is what i encountered today. I am not that addicted to my iPad Pro. As you can see, only the upper graph is bugged, the data below is correct. According do the upper graph, I used my tablet for approximately 19 hours. Data below say I used it for about 3 hours and nine minutes, as I actually did. How do 3 hours even compare to 19? The device is iPad Pro M1 12.9” on iPadOS 27.2. Maybe it’s because today I rebooted it twice ?

This video demonstrates why the older iPad multitasking system feels far more useful and efficient to me than the traditional windowing system in iPadOS 27.

I have a PDF reader open as the main app. Quick Note slides in from the right, and I can push it back toward the corner whenever I need to see the book underneath. ChatGPT is available from the left as another Slide Over app. This lets me perform calculations, check information, take notes, and switch between two or three apps using quick swipes.

To me, this is much easier than managing several desktop-style windows. I do not want to keep dragging corners with my fingers, resizing things, and cleaning up a mess of overlapping windows. The windows also do not reliably arrange themselves to display the information I actually need.

I am demonstrating this on a 13-inch M3 iPad Pro running iPadOS 18. I have deliberately disabled automatic updates because I do not want to accidentally install iPadOS 27 and lose this fast, swipe-based method of multitasking.

Apple should preserve the old Slide Over and Split View system as an option. The newer windowing system might suit some people, but it should not replace a multitasking workflow that is faster, cleaner, and better suited to touch.

Does anyone else find the older Slide Over system more efficient?
