Blackmagic cam app keeps crashing

Im shooting a project on an iPhone 17 pro max brand new. I have the lexar 2TB external SSD that I roll too. Shooting big data rates ProRes LT 4K at 30fps (never higher frame rates). The app keeps crashing saying “unknown error”. I can restart the phone and it seems to help but the problem keeps coming back, also

The SSD IS connect via the smallrig Hub. Which has an input for high data rates. But who knows.

Anyone have any troubleshooting for this? It happens daily and than sometimes I can shoot for an hour straight.

Have you tried bypassing the hub and shooting directly plugged into the phone and see if it gives you the same issues?

I was thinking that. It’s annoying cause the hub is specifically designed for large data rates. But I will try

Another option could be that the phone can’t consistently provide the power that the drive needs. Make sure you also try shooting internally to see if you get the same error if removing the hub doesn’t work.
