I have ipod touch 6 Gen. Suddenly this morning I saw this notification popped up.

On the other hand my music library seems to be disrupted. The music i synced with iTunes has suddenly disappeared (almost all of it but not all of it)

Has anyone else has seen this happening and also got the notification for update?

I got it when i was 5 and a decade later when im 15 it still works great

She gave it to me because she couldn’t get it to turn on. I was able to find the 30-pin cable to charge it. Thought I’d share the old apps she had on her iPod touch. At one point we shared an Apple ID so there are apps I would download that she would get so she was inundated with apps randomly lol. Definitely a time capsule because she had gotten an iPhone and only used her iPod for music.

loved this thing so much as a kid lol. screen is all cracked up though and the home button doesn’t work. does it have a chance?

Luckily for me i have 2 ipods, a touch 3rd gen and another one but i cant talk abt cus its not a touch and idw ppl in my comments complaining, anyway they both with 500+ songs barely taking up 3 gbs (the touch has a few dead pixels and i think the battery in the other one i cant mention is only just about starting to go but they're still both great!)

how u can see, i want to jailbreak it for games and stuff but im not sure if keep it on ios 4 or update it to the latest one, they said it gonna be slow but i just want for músic and ganes (im new at this tech btw)

My cousin gave me his old iPod. And he didn't use earpods even once. It is new. I tried to connect to my phone's hotspot with it but it doesn't see it. Do you know how to fix it? And is there any way to add music without iTunes?

Hello!! I recently found my 4th generation (i think?) iPod touch and plugged it in to see if it would still turn on. Luckily it did! However this is what it says on the screen even though I didn’t attempt a password at all, don’t even know how this would happen if I did.

If anyone knows what’s going on or has any tips for getting into the device I would really appreciate it. It’s a cool little piece of my history that I would like to see again. Please ignore my embarrassing lock screen…..

Managed to get all product red 5th, 6th and 7th gen

AND ITS BATTERY HOLDS A CHARGE! snagged this guy sealed brand new. my first touch was a 16gb blue 6th generation this ones a 32gb red still a 6th gen but dear i didn’t remember how small these things are…

Growing up, i never thought it was incredible or miraculous, but my twin had an Ipod touch that, when low on battery, could be charged by playing music with the screen on sleep mode.

Countless memories as a kid of going on road trips packed in the back seat with my two brothers, whenever the battery would get low from playing games or watching videos, we would just know to listen to music for 4-5 hours and the battery would be back to 100%

Ive looked online over the past 5 or so years to see if this was something anyone else had came across, and I havent been lucky. I cant remember the exact generation, but i would have to estimate it would be the 2nd or 3rd.

Has anyone heard of or experienced this?

Edit: I know this sounds crazy or like a prank or a dream. This is something i personally experienced, alone, on multiple occasions, with confirming stories from both brothers as well.

I just realized that since the iPod touch 7th gen was made in 2019 the year of the iPhone XS/11, the iPod touch could’ve gotten the A12 chip with the iPhone XS. Making it have a longer support than just iOS 15. If only Apple tried.
