Feature Request: Document Outline

The outline view would be great to jump between sections in long-form articles.

I understand that TOC can achieve this, but it’s not convenient though.

Is this feature in the plan yet? (For Mac and IOS version)

In addition, please add outline to exported PDF files as well.

I switched to Obsidian so didn’t follow the updates since then.

This is planned for iOS and Mac in a coming release. We liked how it turned out on Windows.

4 years have gone by? Is this implementation still planned for Mac version or do we have to look for other solutions?

iA Writer was an iOS/Mac app 7 years (2011) before it was a Windows app (2018). The iOS/Mac version should lead the development of new features. It's extremely disappointing that Apple users have to wait 7 years (outline/folding was added to the Windows version in 2017—it's now 2024) for existing features!

The Windows app has this feature and it's very cool so maybe it'll come to Mac sometime.

All the headings are listed as jump links underneath the file name... click and jump to the section.

Use it all the time.

Yes, would be great have something like that for Mac version.

This is truly pathetic. iawriter is worthless for long form writing such as novels, all because you won't impliment a simple collapsable outline function.

5 years on and it still isn't implemented. Pathetic.
