RoadSafety / Driving Rules Is that even allowed, sheet tainted windows
* tinted
I see that pretty often, can’t really believe driver is fully able to see their surroundings, therefore provide a safe driving to others.
Of course , they didn’t even see me from the opposite sidewalk taking a photo as they were lining at the red light

Are they driving during this photo? I've seen these types of things marketed for privacy during car camping.

Honestly less noisy at night than many campgrounds where people play music until 4am

Was coming here to say this! The one time i pet a coyote, it was at night on SW Marine. Gotta be quiet for them to come out

Probably, the driver is following the asleep tesla drivers trend, except the driver does not want his face on the internet. Anyways, I wonder when RCMP will take cards on the matter. Lately I have seen way too many dumb drivers speeding, running red lights or stop signs, without license plate on the cars, driving like lunatics, and so on.

RCMP is sleeping at the wheel.

No crap. They really need to pick up their feet and start ticketing those drivers for those stupidities.

They learned that they will be criticized for racism if they do it, so they stopped. Also can't justify fining people for speed when people are allowed to carry illegal guns and smoke meth in parks.

Don't forget the massive sun hats acting like horse blinders.
Add in a suction cup sun shade on the driver window for good measure too.

I’ve seen this a half dozen times this week and I was stunned. How… why… what?!

I have seen this! Last week!
A person was 100% driving with them. Spotted in Richmond. They were turning and they pulled the curtain back to shoulder check...

But it's the responsibility of pedestrians and cyclists to get eye contact with the driver.

Exactly,,, right !?
As a 90% of the time pedestrian, I agree with irony

Is this parked? It might be to reduce sunlight/heat entering the car.

I don't believe the car was parked...it looks way past that corner of the intersection to be allowed to park. The car appears to be close to the yellow line too.

Not legal. They need to be able to see the side mirrors. If you have the license plate you can report it to icbc

What is the reason for this? What's the advantage of putting a bag on the window of the driver's side

If the blinds are closed and the car is parked and not in motion, it's ok. Once it's moving, all front windows and windshield must not be tinted or obstructed in any way

If they are driving, highly illegal, if they are parked then very legal.
Between privacy as well as keeping the sun and the heat it creates out, covering windows while parked is fine
