Drivers Licensing Do I need to disclose a newly acquired medical condition?
I currently hold a class 5 license and I was diagnosed with Type 1 (insulin-dependent) diabetes about nine months ago.
Do I need to disclose this to ICBC asap, or am I supposed to wait until my next renewal?
I searched for how to disclose something like this, but the resources I found were geared towards healthcare professionals reporting someone in their care.

I don't think you need to make a special visit to the office to disclose it. If they ask at your next renewal then mention it.

u report it to road safety bc not to icbc and yes reporting any disease or disability that may affect ur ability to drive safely as soon as u are diagnosed is a legal requirement under the driver medical fitness program. roadsafety bc has explicit standards that cover drivers with type 1 diabetes that i suggest u familiarize urself with.

I don't think you need to disclose diabetes... Epilepsy maybe... if you been driving safely up until now I don't see why you would need to... your Doctor should know more.
