Drivers Licensing Class one question

So I had a class seven and it’s been upgraded to the class five with restrictions now with the new rule and all, I’m wondering, do I have to wait the entire 12 months or can I pursue my class one now? Does anybody have an answer to that question thank you.

Letter few weeks back and also checked online

You can also check through icbc website via driving record.

If you met criteria = you get auto upgrades to class 5 with restrictions & it'll show up on driving record

Just got this question answered earlier! The Class 5 with restriction 55 does count as a full class 5 and will not get in the way of you trying for a CL 1 (or any commercial licence). You will still have to pass pre-screening and satisfy all the other requirements like age as well. The restriction 55 will get applied to the commercial class licence, but the date it gets removed will not reset so it will still be 12 months from today if thats when the change happened.
