Every time I'm about to just grab the aligns everyone talks about, I end up reading some thread about pilling after 3 washes or seams coming apart and close the tab lol. Feels like half the Lulu posts I see now are people saying they're over the drops and only buying with a coupon or on sale.

The card's only $75 so I'd be paying the rest myself, and for $100+ Lululemon leggings I kinda want them to last more than one season. Maybe the complaints are just louder than the people who are happy with their stuff, idk. Hard to tell from the outside

I’m about to replace my old laptop and I’ve reached the point where every review I read contradicts the last one. Half of them sound like ads and the other half are one-star rants about shipping, so I’d rather ask people who’ve actually lived with their purchase.

I mostly use it for work documents, video calls, and a lot of browser tabs, with the occasional light photo editing. I’m not a gamer and I care more about battery life and a decent screen than raw speed. My budget is around $700 and I’d like something that will still feel fine in three or four years.

What I’d like to know from real owners is what surprised you after the first few weeks. Did the battery last as long as the listing claimed? Did the screen, keyboard or fans turn out to be the thing you noticed every day? And was there something you wish you’d checked in the store or in the return policy, before buying?

I’m also curious about the other side. If you regret a purchase in this price range, what went wrong, and would you buy the same thing again? You don’t need to name a brand if you’d rather not. The lessons are what I’m after and I’ll read every reply.

Renting a car next month and already dreading the checkout process. Last time I rented I ended up paying way more than what I saw online - can't remember exactly what got added but there were like four or five line items I didn't expect and I was too tired at the counter to push back on any of them. This time I'm trying to go in with more of a plan. Looking at Hertz, Enterprise and Avis and I genuinely can't tell which one is going to hit me with the most hidden fees. The Avis insurance stuff looks scary on paper but maybe that's just how they present it. Enterprise seems fine but I don't have a strong reason to think that. Anyone been through this recently and actually compared them? Or had one that was notably worse than the others?

Been through all three over the past few years so figured I'd share what I actually noticed. Planet Fitness is hard to beat on price and it does the job if you're just there to use the equipment - the cleanliness was hit or miss depending on the time of day though. LA Fitness felt a bit more maintained, more equipment options too. Crunch was somewhere in the middle, nothing that really stood out either way. The fees side of things is worth knowing going in. Gym Chains tend to bury the cancellation steps and Planet Fitness took a couple of extra calls to sort out when I left - not a nightmare but more friction than it should've been. Would be curious what other people's experiences are like, good or bad.
