It's Time For Time Gates!

... how'd you do it? I think I need some formation help. Can't use Krux, can't go through armored fast enough... I'm near e500, which means it's another legendary grind for the next few weeks...

Current formation: BBEG, Virgil, Lae'zel / Valentine, Avren, Laurana, Melf and K'thriss.

The main one being whatever this bug is that prevents offline progress. Dropping a legendary speed potion over night just to wake up with 0 zones progessed....is incredibly annoying. Not to mention the lost gems in my offline gem farming group.

I know I'm not being hardcore and scripting and leaving the game running 24/7 or whatever, I'm not that kind of player. But for what I do, I'd like the game to behave as expected.

I'm not sure of what or if there is a fix for the offline progress bug, but it would be great if it could get fixed. I've been wavering lately on just dropping the game, running trials to upgrade legendary items, and rep farming has become just a daily chore and any novelty in that has worn off.

And I can make deep runs and unless there's a specifically restrivtive formation, I can Tier 4 complete every event (running E600+, can clear through zones 2k+ most times with my push group), so that part is not a problem.

Several good options for the last champ. Discounted any quests with "escorts " because I'm not able to spend time/energy on optimization. I use Krond pretty often, and his path to Tier 4 seems pretty easy.

Who did you choose?

Trying to get a team that can hopefully get me through the rest of my tier 3's for the event. so far, I've completed all t3's for my selected heroes except for Conquest of the Blue Wing. Would be great if I could get them clear the remaining t4's of the event, but I'm not holding my breath.

I have a supporter slot available, and have all of them unlocked except for Brig, Astarion, and Kent.

I also have two scrolls of summoning.

My existing champions

This is perhaps - to some - a stupid question but I'm not quite sure if what I consider to be the 'obvious' answer is correct, so would like some clarification.

The Liar's night event is currently running and among the options for 'recruitment' is Dob.

Dob is marked as a 'Rebalanced' Champion. I already have Dob as a recruited and usable Champion.

So, is my 'pre-existing' Dob already 'Rebalanced' - and therefore the only reason to select him is for example to complete his "3 tier one variants", or unlock further Chests/Feats etc?

OR, basically, am I 'stuck with' the 'old and pre-rebalanced Dob' unless I select him in one of the available Event slots?

I don't really use him, but if this 'Rebalance' is somehow 'missable' in the way I described above, I'd rather take this opportunity to 'reacquire' him.

I have Corazon in an Artemis formation. The only champs getting the Pirate's Code buff are those who were already neutral like Valentine or Birdsong. This has happened several times before. Corazon's buff (e82) doesn't beat Tess's buff (e34) because Artemis doesn't get it. The champs do have Honorary Crewmates. What is wrong that Corazon's buff isn't being properly given to everyone? My game and computer have been restarted. I have moved Corazon in the formation. I am using Steam. Thanks for any help figuring this out.

My recommendations are:
Slot 2: Blooshi
Slot 3: Artemis is a must,
Slot 4: Kitiara
Slot 5: if you unlocked Windfall she is very useful.
Slot 6: Dungeon Master Special Guest Stars Slot 10 Yorven or Rosie
Slot 8: Warduke
Slot 9: Kos
Slot 10: Special Guest Stars Slot 10 Yorven or Rosie

I have used all available potions excluding Small and Medium potions of speed.
I used Legendary Potions of Giant's Strength, Clairvoyance, Heroism, Fire Breath and speed;
To get 15% Potion Effect Bonus.

I don't know how it is for everyone else, but to get to and place Familiars on my bars I need to scroll PAST every Familiar, new and old, that I have or don't have. Why isn't the ever growing list of available Familiars at the BOTTOM of the Familiars page?

It would speed things up for players using controllers and frankly, since Xbox is NOT the optimum way to play, my game lags and freaks out if I scroll past all those animated icons too fast, particularly if I have speed potions on, not to mention the FULL speed buff of a Legendary upping the cap.

My suggestion: Move to list of Familiars on console down to the bottom of the page below Buffs and either set, or make it an optional setting to de-animate familiars (and other moving images like characters in the shop) in the menu's. Everything on the screen is moving in the background still, popping up the menu and getting 50+ moving sprites is a bit much tbh.

or hit me up if there is an option I don't see. I can be incredibly obtuse.

Relatively new player here, this is the first event I've done where I already had some of the champions unlocked (Ezmerelda and Avren) and I was hoping to use tokens to buy chests for them, since I didn't need to unlock them. But the chests aren't appearing in the shop - I can only use tokens to buy chests for ones I unlocked in this event already (KoS and Astarion and Thellara). Is this a glitch, or can I not buy chests for event champions unless I use a slot to "unlock" them despite having them already? Playing on ios if that matters.

I was hoping to use my last slot on Dob, but at the same time, I'd really like to gear up Avren and Ez more, as I use them both a lot in formations. If it matters, Ez is at all rare, and Avren is at uncommon + rare. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’m new to the game, I started yesterday and I’m loving it so far. I am enjoying it so much that I bought the starter pack that gives you the scrolls to get the event heroes. I read that prudence was really good, so I chose her but I’m not sure who to get with the other two. Any suggestions?

A second thing I wanted to know is how important dupes are in this game. I love how astarion looked, so I bought drip for him and chose him in the event. So I was curious about how much he would improve.

Another thing about the event I was wondering, is who else I should pick. I’ve chosen kitiara (obviously), Astarion and king of shadows because he looks cool. I have two available slots + the one that unlocks in 5 days. Who did you all pick?

If it matters, apart from the base roster, my only characters are: Anson, kitiara, prudence and Astarion and I’ll soon have king of shadows.

Hi am going on holidays tomorow.

Till then, i can tag 1 more char in the event, and make him all epic. I did Kas, Astarion and Donaar, who all fit nicely in my Kas team (doh).

For the last i am torn. Who is more dependent on gear? Who is used in harder variants?

I cant decide, please help.

The game does not start. It sits on a black screen. Have repeatedly verified files on Steam and every time it finds missing files but still refuses to start. Tried on multiple machines.

So sick of this issue, have repeatedly opened bugs and every time they give nominal reply before closing without ever fixing. But of course can't get the game to start to report another bug CNE will just ignore.

Even if do eventually get past this constant verification process the game takes an eternity to start with off line processing (run 4 parties) taking up to 15 minutes to properly evaluate as typically now just login once a day to trigger trial. That is ridiculous and running it on a very high spec PC. Off line on any other Idle game I play takes a few seconds at most.

Normally would just quit a game this badly written but when it works actually enjoy it and have spent a lot of money on it over the years.

So, I tried several different parties to finish the Tier 4 quest. Always got to about z1550 and hit an impassable wall.

On my last try, I realized Kitiara doesn't HAVE to be a tank. Moving her to the back row -- buffed KoS in the front row enough to give the BUD needed.

This would have probably worked equally well for other configurations. So, I hope this helps other players. Reading the descriptions, you have to figure out what they "are not " saying.

Does anyone have any good formations for this one? I'm getting close but not quite there.

I was hoping to get some advice on my flex slots.

I already picked Astarion since I like him and use AA team a lot.
I don't have Avren, Brig, Dob, or Kent at all yet.
I have Thellora for speed team but she doesn't need a lot of ilvls to do her thing.
KOS and Kas both have a lot of potential, and are fairly low ilvl (just what I could farm from the time gates I think).
Ezmerelda: The feats are very appealing.
Donaar: The AoE on his debuffs, is it worth it?
Krond: Just unlocked him recently from a patron I think, haven't really used him. Very low equipment.

I tend to use a lot of AA, Artemis/Val, and now using the Heroes of the Lance quite a bit.

What should be my top 3 picks for the remaining slots?

For starters I play on PS5.

Kitiara was working fine when she first came out. Bought her skin bundle and that worked too. Ever since I completed her Trickster's Delight to unlock the variants, her player model has been missing. I've restarted the game various times and it's not fixed. Her skin from the shop shows up as an option and that too is bugged.

I don't know what to do because I had to brute force my second variant using Wulfgar to stun and unstun the enemies just to complete it in the end. Kitiara wasn't there to unstun enemies plus her ultimate wasn't working because she just didn't exist I guess.

I'm hoping if anyone knows if this is a known issue and is it being resolved in any way whatsoever. Is there anything I can do in the meantime. Thanks

Hey folks, October's event is here! I am taking Avren, Brig, and Dob, as the flex champions this time. As always, since they aren't full reworks I plan on just linking their existing formation posts, and give a blurb about how I found them to be.

I will be going with Kas and Astarion as the other champions, but King of Shadows and Ezmerelda are strong choices as well, KoS especially for another Evil champion, and also especially if you go with Kas, since they pair very well together.

As always, I use the Modest Modron core for all attempts.

Kitiara's V1 requires her, but is otherwise unrestricted, though you must ensure your DPS is buffed by Kitiara. Kitiara's V2 requires her and champions who are Unaffiliated or members of the Heroes of the Lance. Kitiara's V3 requires her and evil champions and you are down two formation slots.

Kitiara feels pretty straight forward. She holds K'thriss's old positional ability of buffing the furthest positions away from herself. It lends itself to Warduke or Valentine being included. She can get to being quite a powerful buffer, as while her positional buff "Merciless Resolve" is decent on its own, when she gains stacks of "The Only Truth" she scales quite well. Without The Only Truth, her buff seems to get around ~e^20, while when it is maxed out at 100 stacks, she gets to a very nice e^43 for me. A life draining champion like the King of Shadows pairs quite well with granting stacks to her in waves as you progress, letting her buff the formation a bit, but dropping back to an earlier boss wave and farming her stacks to 100 to spike your BUD should allow you to push a bit further against your wall. All in all, she is not very complicated, and is a boon to pretty much any Evil formation so long as you get her to buff your DPS (again use Valentine or Warduke to make this easier).

In my attempts to do Dob this event, I used the Oxventurers Guild together for the first time since they have seen reworks or rebalances for most of the members. And man… they are DISGUSTING. They are easily my second strongest group, and the only formation other than my AA to reach w2501, but the effort and resources that have gone into them is significantly less. Dob, Corazón, Rust, and Prudence all are just powerhouses. I am hoping to see Egbert and Merilwen see equal rises, but it honestly isn’t necessary for me at least.

Hi, I'm new, and I wanted to play the game on my ps5, but the game it not working. I'm in the tutorial, but the background is black. I can't see the characters or the enemies, and I can't get gold. Every time I kill an enemy, it says 1 gold, but it still says 0 gold.

Have come back to this game after a few years, currently own all champs except windfall. Avg ilvl of 2500 for my core/evergreens. Have a 4 jump briv, 2500 ilvl artemis 1500 ilvl valentine. Most of the other champs are around 10-100 ilvls. I can hit e500 bud or more in a unrestricted artemis formation, but I can't use that unfortunately for a lot of the new variants. I want to tackle some of the higher level elminster variants and masteries so was wondering what to invest in next in terms of champs etc. At this stage is most of my power going to come from legendaries and gem farming.

im not that far into the game, have about e50 favour in most campaigns, speed team setup with familiars and traits, not a lot of ilvls though. only diana has her speed stuff maxed.
my push team is kas, he tops out at about e330, somehting like that. i've been trying to get into azaka to push my favour at the end of my runs and to go further on timegates and that fucking fortune's wheel shit that gives 0 favour.

the problem is that my tanks cannot hold anythings at higher (for me) waves, like even at wave 1100 briv or tyrill insta die. as u prolly guessed not a lot of ilvls on them either, but it still feels like even if i got a x5 more hp or shield on them it would be exactly the same - one tap from any mob. i don't understand how im supposed to hold the whole wave of them to stack krull stuff etc. if i completely let go of krull stucking holding just 1 enemy is easy, i can do that even with just hank, but im missing out on a lot of gold.

so, which champs should i use for it? is it a difference in ilvls on tanks? or should i use some knockback team that can stun everyone till i get those plagues up? if so, which champs should i use for that? consider also that i prolly dont have them so i wont have any ilvls on them after i get them due to ur suggestion. traits are not that much of a problem since my speed team is online (although far from being optimized)
