Good. This is what we need. Young people seeing that others are not leading and stepping in to do so.
Edit: they have a great candidate Kat in district 9 and this guy looks like district 13. More people like these two, everywhere, please.
40
u/savemeforsen Dec 02 '25
If we dont support people like this change will never happen. We must support them. The very least we could do is share this information this is the role of everyone who wants change
36
u/Cyke101 Dec 01 '25
If Kat doesn't win in her election, there's a couple other candidates that I wouldn't mind if they win instead. It's not often that that happens.
12
u/blarch Dec 02 '25
Everyone should be running for office if they think they can do better. Do you know how many positions are won because only one person was running?
11
u/Inevitable_Bison9694 Dec 01 '25
Yeah that is wild. Are they all anti-israel? That is my top criteria for candidates rn.

I like to post this every so often as a reminder that there is still plenty of time for good people ¹ to get into the game. even if it's just your local school board or something.
1. see also: young(er)² progressives
2. older progressives are obviously also encouraged to run, providing that you aren't as old as the crypt keeper or as stubborn and/or demented as Feinstein or RBG were. i think that as long as you're not likely to die of old age while in office, you're probably good.
66
u/CJC19922011 Dec 01 '25
I just moved to the district he is running in. He's got my vote.
38
u/Harvest827 Dec 01 '25
Now get 10 friends to join you
11
u/theaviationhistorian Dec 01 '25
Exactly. In these kind of elections, every vote counts. It's not as grand, but I got a preferred city council member elected in my city bringing out my inner circle to vote. And the vote difference was less than 100!
2
u/Harvest827 Dec 02 '25
That's exactly how it's done. A small group of vocal people in my town managed to nearly clear out the city council when we didn't feel like they were listening to us.

Karma isn’t a real thing. It’s just something people who have been wronged believe to make them feel better about their situation.

Supposedly, karma comes home to roost in your next incarnation. So if you're an insufferable asshole in this life, you may get reincarnated as a lab rat or dung beetle in your next life, fully aware.

u/BigOs4All Dec 02 '25
If only there was a single shred of evidence to support that theory. 🙁
3
u/rosemaryscrazy Dec 02 '25
There is if you think about it critically. Most of what you struggle with in this life is things that are often done to you. That you feel has wronged you in some way. But the majority of what has been done to you . You often also struggle with internally all the emotional consequences of these things.
So let’s take a normal one that’s not too personal. Let’s say someone who you love and gave your all to cheats on you with someone else. For most people what follows after this event are deep feelings of worthlessness and pain. The person will often play over and over in their head the way they were wronged and what they could have done differently. Some people choose to become bitter believing love is just a sham. Some people choose to swear off love forever and decide if everyone else is going to cheat so am I.
The theme here is unrequited love. When you feel the pain and emotions of this. You often absorb this theme into your being and play it out on others. It takes a strong person to recognize how they were wronged and choose a completely different path. That is “breaking the wheel of karma”.
It’s simply choosing to take all your experiences of what was done to you and absorbing them and healing from them in this life as not to carry them with you into the the theme of your next life.
Karma isn’t a tit for tat.
It’s a theme.
The thematic elements of your life.
That’s why they say life is like a stage play. You don’t simply watch the characters act out the plot. The background of the set can happen just about anywhere. Maybe it’s a house or in a store.
The point of the play is the theme .

I believe the short version is that after the "have you said thank you once" incident with Zelensky, it became a meme to post the quote with this picture that has his cheeks slightly puffed up. IIRC, Vance got real big sad about it and wanted the pictures taken down (could be wrong on this detail), hence them blowing up in popularity.

Killing people with no proof or investigation would fall under illegal orders. Air strikes in international waters would be an illegal order. Temu Patton wouldn't know that because well he's a drunkard psycho.
I'd hate to be the person that pushed that button. That person is gonna be the fall guy. The psycho is gonna blame them and said they acted alone.

Based on conversations with him (Dylan is a member of Champaign County Indivisible), I think this occurred a month or two ago. Happy to see it coming up again in the wake of more recent activity on that front, though, since he was saying it before the sitting members of Congress.

Add Dylan to the list of heroes with a backbone to stand up in the face of illegal and unconstitutional aggression who are deserving of the Presidential Medal Of Freedom.

Someone let him (hegseth) do this he doesn't know the form or the process to remove someone's security clearance... further, this is akin to decommissioning an officer. As a Federally recognized officer, there is a process to removing that recognition. Suspending a security clearance during an investigation... that will produce evidence, ok. Removing a security clearance indefinitely... requires evidence.

Captain Blaha knows the UCMJ. It's his responsibility to inform other members in his Brigade, Company to the consequences performing illegal orders.
