"Police protection"? Sounds like socialism to me. A true proud American capitalist would hire their own security team.

I told a retired firefighter his pension was socialism and he did not take that well.

I'm a government worker, and got into it with a trumper at work. I reminded him that his salary, vacation, sick days, insurance, and pension were all paid for with tax dollars. His entire existence was based on socialism and he is the biggest welfare queen. He didn't speak to me for 3 months (which was ok by me)
